Came from nothing! Petaia dishes the impressive offload to Lance who streaks past Naivalu to score. He’s been poor since he came on – missed his clean out for the previous Reds penalty, and that bad defensive read leads to the Lance try.
That will probably be the ball game, as Lance converts his own try on the angle.

As I type, Nathan Charles has got his head on the wrong side trying to tackle the Tongan Thor, and has knocked himself clean out. Loud crack on the referee mic, and there’s some serious concern for him. Team of medics around him.

Finally, the Reds scrum has been tamed (to an extent)
They win their first scrum penalty of the night, 22m out from the Reds line near the right touchline.
Hodge kicks for goal – tough, tough kick, but a big chance to go ahead with 15 to play.
Skins it to the right – nothing going right for the Rebels in this second half (two butchered tries and a missed penalty goal whilst being a man up).

Offside from the Reds, they have been a little eager to fly up in the line this whole match. Paia’aua is the culprit, and the ref was clear in saying that the next infringement was going to see someone go to the bin.
Hodge goes to kick to the corner, and puts it dead in goal. Huge mistake.

That is very funny. The ball falls off Hodge’s tee twice, and the ref says he has 5 seconds to take it, so he picks it up and shells it from 35m out with a drop goal. It was still climbing as it went over the black dot. That was huge.
