Thanks PastHisBest, I should have researched that a tad better! And it does not look like I can go in and edit it, I need that as I’m a terrible speller etc… What did you think of the idea?

Barbarians success should be used as a template for a World Cup evolution

I agree lcroft. “major dummy spit” Deans comes over, lays a hand on him, offers some banta… and what does Giteau do? nothing, just offers a cheeky smile back at the camera, he does not even acknowledge Deans. Giteau shrugs off his terrible performance against Wales as just “one of those things” saying he prepared in the same way he does every game, and just had a bad night. I suspect it may have been more then that, I think it was a big dummy spit, like a child braking all his toys in disgust with not getting his way, maybe because of the threat he faces at being moved to 12.

Video says much about Wallabies attitude

I agree with Matt “But the truth is that the Pro game is being strangled by that competitive nature to be conservative in the face of uncertainty and pressure.” The answer is to inject some “flair and optimism” into the game. The BarBars template shows us the way. When the players play for the BarBars they don’t have the pressure of playing for their country. A mixed team with world class players ensures maximum talent without a conservative attitude, this is the recipe for highly entertaining matches. I think this should be used more often, like a World Cup winning team vs The Rest of the World team, or Super 14 winners vs the REst of the Super 14, or Tri Nations Winner vs The Rest of the Tri Nations etc… this combination team could be used in any competition. It bring top players together in a more stress free environment, an environment we there are encouraged to play with “flair and optimism”. We don’t need to change the rules, we need to change the environment.

Why rugby should be a thirteen man game

So True Cambell! I think the marketing should stop thinking that tweaking the jersey will be the answer! Bring back the vintage pure GOLD jersey and stop putting white mesh patches on the shoulders, that’s just not rugby!

Who is the fuse for the Wallabies?

Agreed Jus, look at the All Blacks in World Cups, serial chokers! but it often is the French that are able to cause the upset. They have a huge belief in the jersey. The French are know for their passion, intensity… even in their defeat to the All Blacks they never gave up, the All Blacks were just on fire. It’s the complacent attitude that keeps on making sport interesting, the best teams can alway fail but by being complacent – Like the Wallabies against Scotland – and therefore not matching another teams desire. Jonah was able to – and the All Blacks as a sporting team have it more then nearly any other national team in the history of sport – pride in the Silver Fern.

Who is the fuse for the Wallabies?

I agree Matt, Al Baxter had a fuse, he’s the one that came back and smashed England last year after being utterly humiliated, chewed up and spat out in the 07 World Cup against the Poms. Is he really that crap? Would he have given the same calm collected, unemotional post match interview that Cross and Moore gave after their pathetic defeat against Scotland? Horwill did have some fire, but agreed, the French belted that out of him and Mortlock definitely has the spark but his body has ran out of fuel. Could a former player be injected in some capacity to act as a Jonah and build them up instead of tearing them down…
