Well written Harry , May I call you the E. A. Poe of rugby? Just kidding. Argentina wants to arrive in silence and try to work the ladder to semis in control. They have the first game against England and full 12 resting days before playing Samoa . In a short week they can play the subs against Chile and have the best available and rested team to the decider against Japan. It is a good schedule to build momentum and get to the eliminating games in a good shape.
What three hours in a bar taught me about RWC contenders - including the 'most confident 0-4 team on the planet'
IMO there are 4 teams that may make it to the semis: NZ, IRL, Fr, and SA. Many things can happen for one of these not to make it. Cards, injuries, bad calls, ect. And if that is the case there are two or three teams that can occupied a spot in the last four. And then anything can happen.
The Panel: Lessons have been learned, but are some World Cup options burned?
Ha, what I see that nobody thinks or see Los Pumas as serious contenders for the title and I like it.

Two weeks!!!

Sorry mate, but it is beyond my comprehension.
The Panel: Peeking into our neighbour's yard to see what's cooking... or not
Ha, I would like to see with what they come up. TMO had 19 minutes to review the situation and they did not come back even with a penalty. Imagine a semifinal under the same circumstances but Argentina winning the game. For me was a red card all the way.

One thing with Los Pumas is that they have melt fresh and young players with the old guard. Players like Cinti, Gonzalez, M. Carreras, S. Grondona , Gallo, and some others are providing the energy and making the experienced players to work hard to keep their positions in the team. The other part that is making me optimistic is that finally Argentina can have a very good bench which is something new and very good to the team to provide the energy needed for eighty minutes.

Los Pumas have improved their mentality and that keeps in the game. It was just 4 to 5 years ago that they were good fior 60 minutes and got beaten because they could not keep up the intensity of the game. Now, even when they played the AB s in Mendoza had a very good second half,
If they can get the scrum- half and Fly – half to play a bit better they will do very well in the WC imo.
Springboks forced to dig deep as Pumas fall just short of mighty upset
Argentina bes finished ever was 3 rd in France
The Panel: the good, the bad and the 'we'd rather not talk about it, thanks...'
Los Pumas dominated the game and besides an interception in the last minute of a game in not a game plan imo. A win for the Wallabies would not have been what happened on the field. I do not think the Wallabies improved much from the game to Pretoria while Los Pumas showed improvement in many areas.

Yeah , very simple!!!

If you go back to the game most of the Pumas breaking came through the centers, CG did not know where to position hisself defensibly , he was either to close o behind QC or too fara away from Kerevi. It is his fault but the couch switching places 12 and 13 . Then he did not had the speed and Cinti catches him from behind. It was his first game and not blame him, but for me he was far from being a nice surprise. In the opponent team R. Isgro was making his day view also and a much better game than G C.

'Gutted': Cheika's Pumas steal dramatic win to confirm Eddie's worst Wallabies fears
I agree MO, Miotti has been unlucky and did not have enough time of play in any team. He went to early for his age into Jaguares and had Hernandez and Sanchez ahead of him .
The Panel: Which first-up losers will be 'better for the run'?
I would not be so worry, Cheika is experimenting things as well : J.M. Gonzalez at 8 for first time in his profesional time , R. Isgro will make his day view in the wing position ( coming from sevens games and who knows when was the last time he played the game of 15.) , and L. Cinti changes from 12 to 13 .
The Panel: Which first-up losers will be 'better for the run'?
Left out by stubborn coaches , they stick to the experiment of S. Carreras as a fly-half , something that the talented player is not very comfortable , IMO one of the biggest mistake the staff is doing, but who am I ?

I feel so lucky, during my life time I have seen Argentina wining three WCs and have watched Maradona and Messi at their best. What else can I asked for. I has been a true test for my heart and survived .
The Greatest Final: Argentina win World Cup on penalties after Messi & Mbappe combine for thriller
In my humble opinion, both coaches , Rennie and Eddy , have fail in understand the interpretation of the new laws in the game or at leats how officiating goes nowadays and that is why there is so much pressure on their shoulder . There is no sense on running more than three phases because the chances of getting penalised increases exponentially from phase to phase either because your on players dive on the player carrying the pill when in the ground, by a jackal, or side entry, blocking the tackler , ect.., Thus turning an attack into a losing battle for territory where your chances on gaining terrain end up in a best case scenario losing meters due to a penalty against the attacking team. So why risk so much ? The best thing is to put the ball in the air and challenge that ball or play D where you have better chances . Playing without the ball gives you better chances to score points.
Rennie’s World Cup future up for discussion after Eddie Jones’ sacking changes everything for Wallabies
The polish team was the second tallest in the competition while Argentina ranks 28, which team won? Height does not have much to do in soccer. To win the WC you need depth and Argentina has used 21 players of the 26 in the three previous games, which means it does not have must starters besides Messi. It is a good team overall that had a misfortune game against SA, This is soccer and anything can happen, but Argentina seems to have a better team than Australia.
Argie View: The 'ugly ducklings' of Australian sport, the 'fortress of the kangaroos' and why Argentina should fear the keeper
Totally out of content. He never said that Australia had more time to rest. He was complaining because it has to be some type of advantage for finish first in the group rather than second. That is all. This is a very short WC so resting is less of what they usually are when comparing with WCs before. Well, you would not know that because this stage is practically new for you.

Argentina played SA in the last RCH with 120 kg less in the front 8 than the Boks. They suffered a bit in the scrum but they did very well in line outs.
