I guess you did not watch him in the under 20 Wallabies.

Roosters offer 'something I couldn't knock back': Marquee Mark reveals why he's joining the Bondi bunch

Sorry but that is just wrong.
He was by a very clear margin the best Australian outside back at RWC.
Solid performances at all levels of rugby for years, great in the air, great ability to make post contact meters, great ability to off load, and ability to score tries.
Really looked like being one of the few wallabies that could be real top world class international players.
Agree, 10 has been an issue for years but there are now good young 10’s on the horizon.
Rugby has become a clown show that’s sad not funny.

Roosters offer 'something I couldn't knock back': Marquee Mark reveals why he's joining the Bondi bunch

Given the choice between Phil Waugh and Marky Mark, I’d take MM.
This is one of the greatest disasters for RA in years.
Whist there still is some professional rugby in Aus time for the whole board and PW to go.
Maybe I should just watch the Roosters and NRL like most of the 20 somethings who played rugby at school now do.
A whole generation lost as Rugby fans but hey … you all got a really good junket to France.

'We don’t hold any grudges': Why Wallabies star will still be picked in 2024 despite NRL defection

Just hard to try to stay interested in Rugby.
RA have destroyed this once great code.
RA and the Tah’s have shelled out big $ for a possibly good rugby player and list an actually good player.
So now we can see why QLD needed to take over RA – to weaken the Tah’s.

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

Yes but when the incumbent is not up to test standards what then.
This approach saw years of Nic White, Bernard Foley and Quade Cooper.
From 2016 to 2023 we saw ordinary players, ordinary results and little development.

'Pissed off': Why Eddie snubbed Noah and the five-month stint in France that's changed his outlook

Not another “I was right article”.
Except, I am not sure you were, when we get to paragraph 2 it includes “As he grows into the role….” but we never got that far.
The article seem to avoid how and why, EJ came into contention – put simply a win rate of about 40% without developing players in key positions for a few years left DR in trouble.
It is interesting that EJ does not get ant credit for his work with England, who well exceed most people’s expectations.

RA must not fixate on an Aussie coach - why Ronan O'Gara is best choice to lead Wallabies after the Eddie calamity

Very sensible and thoughtful comments.
In relation to the kids, that’s just the way it is my son played League and Union, in the eastern suburbs, for League, we travelled as far as Botany but for Union, to Dural and the outer reaches of the Northers beaches.
Streaming services are likely to see real rationalisation in the next few years which should solve this issue. I would like to see Rugby have an international streaming platform for all rugby. I can’t see why memberships of any Rugby club shouldn’t include access to the streaming platform.

'You can't sell a secret': Biggest issues facing Australian rugby - and why it's in better shape than meets the eye

Looking forward to more comprehensive legal advice on the law of contract and estoppel in France.

Rugby News: RA hunting missing million after contract blunder, Suaalii worth 10x more than his deal, McKellar's big win

I think you may find that all of the actions in the past were board decision, the whole point of a board is that one person does not make the decision.
It reads like a new episode of Yes Minister.

How McLennan departure could help Wallabies land ex-Ireland, All Blacks coach as Eddie's replacement

Yes easily amused.
All these high flying corporate board members on the Board but they lack the combined ability to recruit and employ a coach.
We know the lack the ability to negotiate a broadcast contract, manage a coach, retain a sponsor etc.
They appear incapable of doing the basics of their job or much more than taking directors fees.

How McLennan departure could help Wallabies land ex-Ireland, All Blacks coach as Eddie's replacement

a good high-performance director that can come in and then run the process to find the coach

Run the process?

Hilarious

How McLennan departure could help Wallabies land ex-Ireland, All Blacks coach as Eddie's replacement

But Barnes is a confident and competent Ref.

'That was a mistake': Top ref's blunt verdict on World Cup bunker call

The comedy continues…
The Board are of the collective view that they don’t have the knowledge, skill and experience to recruit a coach …
The do have the knowledge, skill and experience to recruit a high performance manager and he will know how to recruit a coach.

How McLennan departure could help Wallabies land ex-Ireland, All Blacks coach as Eddie's replacement

I really don’t care if it is run by Tasmanian’s
I would just like it to be run well!
For the benefit of Rugby in Aus!
I just have no confidence that will happen.

'Shame on the plodders': Hamish blasts RA 'boneheads' as Harvey Norman deal ends - but founder denies link to axing

Classic RA – punt the chairman before you lock in the sponsors.
I didn’t care if McLennan stays or goes but none of these idiots could arrange anything.
Now it’s controlled by QLD -will the QLD Gov fund it all?

Good to see NZ still complaining…

Aus rugby a shambles and the kiwi’s are whinging …

Situation normal!

'Shame on the plodders': Hamish blasts RA 'boneheads' as Harvey Norman deal ends - but founder denies link to axing

Yes but the vegetarians would be happy.

'Hold firm': RA urged not to blow Suaalii deal as Herbert shifts focus from NRL, Eddie rejects 'horse guy's PR'

Given the last 9 months or so the big question is who knows less about rugby in Aus, Jones or Graham?
Perhaps the answer is who cares.
It seemed to me this recruitment was more about marketing than the need for a quality outside back.

'Hold firm': RA urged not to blow Suaalii deal as Herbert shifts focus from NRL, Eddie rejects 'horse guy's PR'

Yes but…
He is a Queenslander!

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

So now it’s Qld’s turn to keep rugby weak for another 4 years.

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

Did he pull rugby out of a financial hole?

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

Yeah … let’s sack everyone!

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

I was not a supporter of sacking DR but equally (after his performance) not a supporter of DR for his results.
Same with McLennan. This is what Rugby in Aus does just so well, administrative power plays usually motivated by a desire to preserve self interest.
I am just not sure Rugby in Aus will thrive (or maybe even just survive) with this continuing cycle of sack the …. ?? Captain/coach/ceo/chairman.
So we can get some empty suit corporate type hollow man form QLD as opposed to NSW.

'No longer have any trust or faith': Rugby Australia chairman told to resign by SIX states, EGM looms with 'gloves off'

At RWC 2019 we went through a rotation of 10’s. In the lead up someone decided Bernard Foley was no longer the man, so we then used Christian Lealifano and Mat To’ouma before returning to BF. It was clear that recycling the old 10’s was not the answer.
Yet from 2019, apart from a few opportunities for Noah Lolesio, RA and the coach did nothing to solve this obvious problem. Similar position with 9.
Quade Cooper at 10 was delivering RWC 2019 all over again.

This must have been obvious to everyone years ago.

'An experienced 10 would have helped': Wallabies open up on on failed World Cup they'll have to 'live with'

“What we were trying to do is to ensure that he had every resource so that the coaches couldn’t come back and say we didn’t succeed because we weren’t given the resources that we need. It was nothing more than that.”

Just imagine being a Director of a company being questioned by a liquidator explaining how you ran your business?

RA is just so hilarious.

'Always knew it would get really ugly': RA chief's strange admission as World Cup budget blow out revealed

I thought rugby was in trouble …
but if Justin Harrison is one of the 3 smartest people in rugby administration, it’s time to give up.

The Wrap: What will the Wallabies' external season review reveal that we don’t already know?
