Super Rugby Round 16: We’re catching Nobes!

Super Rugby Round 16: We’re catching Nobes!

Thanks Harry for your tips, I’ll get my Superbru right this week!!!

Super Rugby Round 16: We’re catching Nobes!

Sharks by 2 points (and by 3 knock-ons less than Canes…) at sticky Durban.

Super Rugby Round 16: We’re catching Nobes!

Thanks, Geoff. Great read and interesting ideas. Indeed, this is a special SR season. Also, English Premiership rugby is displaying great matches (on Sunday, Saints vs Gloucester for example). Hope it translates and converge into phenomenal rugby by RWC in Japan.

The Wrap: Super Rugby? Now there’s something worth selling

True, as most teams more than 12 hours travelling from home… at any rate, next Friday you’ll know ig your statement is accurate.

Super Rugby Power Rankings 2019: Round 4

Thanks, Baylon. This game could go either way, depending on how Jags cope with “altitude”. Hope Rasta be balanced and fair…

Super Rugby Round 4 expert tips: No, seriously. Good luck…

Indeed, and you are a guest….,so be my guest. ha!

Super Rugby Round 3: I call Bulls…

Upset of the weekend to be the Reds beating the Crusaders.

Super Rugby Round 3: I call Bulls…

C’mon, Nobes, take the leap of faith: Jaguares by 10 on the 23rd. Cheers

Super Rugby 2019 preview series: Jaguares

lol. Good point TNVFS, and upon destruction sip a good Gin & Tonic.

Wallabies go down with a whimper against Pumas

Thanks, mates! look forward to the rematch in three weeks time. Cheers

Wallabies go down with a whimper against Pumas

Agreed, Nobes. Among other odd decisions, Delguy received a high tackle when passing the ball to Bofelli and then scored a try which was not granted for alleged forward pass.

Wallabies go down with a whimper against Pumas

Men in black by plenty….

With the Springboks side announced, there are some surprises

Agreed TNVFS, good calls from Super Mario. I should add that it has also been a good call to bring the seasoned Leguizamon as impact player from the bench. LP’s scrum shall remain to be a puzzle and inconsistent. This Test shall be a cracker anyway.

Pumas make three changes for Wallabies clash

I forgot, my prediction is: LP by 5 points. Just to be consistent with the fact that history plays no role.

Cheika's perfect record over the Pumas under genuine threat

Thanks, David. IMO, history plays no role this time. These are very different in form and out of form teams. Set-piece and discipline shall define the game and neither team is fully dominant at set-piece, and. against the AB, LP have been slightly more ill disciplined than in recent times. This week Gold Coast weather shall be just a bit warmer than in Buenos Aires, humid yet not rainy. Both teams have excellent backs. So, it should be running rugby at its best (again, depending on the set-piece and discipline). Hope it be a great game. Cheers from BA

Cheika's perfect record over the Pumas under genuine threat

Moyano and Delguy are superb wingers. Hope to see a lot from them this coming Saturday.

Argentina completely stun the All Blacks with an absolute beauty

Many thanks Brett, Geoff, Nobes, Harry, Digger. Excellent work!!! This is the best read any true super rugby fan can find in the net. Also looking forward to 2019’s season. Cheers mates

Super Rugby 2018: The panel concludes the ninth Crusade

Thanks Nobes! Good read. Super Mario has done a great job as Jaguares head coach and hope he’ll also lead Los Pumas brilliantly too. Thus, I agree with all your conclussions for the urgent and pressing needs of Los Pumas. Yet, there is a lot to be done by UAR (Argentina Rugby Union) in terms of consistent structural future of rugby in Argentina. UAR and Super Mario (and Quesada as well) should set these terms to move Argentina rugby to the next level and everyone embrace, abide, stick and apply these terms. So, again I agree Los Pumas, Jaguares and other Argentine teams need discipline, but also rugby union, provincial unions, clubs need a sole and clear discipline too. Otherwise, Argentine rugby shall be stuck in some possible brilliant moments which will never translate into significant real progress. Cheers mate.

Can Mario Ledesma turn Los Pumas around?

well, if things go sour (for some) and the formidable team from the Republic wins, I can’t see any clawback.

Super Rugby final: The one-sided two-horse race

So, this is it: the tie-breaker between Geoff and Nobes…. (putting aside the attempt from Harry to motion for some dubious The Roar’s constitutional rights and become the sudden winner, ha!, assuming the Lions wins). Nobes’ reasoning is fancy but not confronted by reality: Saders are playing home, displayed a seamless defense and an amazing attack. SURE THING: Mr. Parkes winner; Mr Nobes runner up!!!

Super Rugby final: The one-sided two-horse race

Thanks Brett, no offense taken. I must apologize to refs I directly a d indirectly referred to; as a rugby player I have always accepted without hesitation all referees’ decisions in the pitch (as out of the pitch throughout my life). I reckon my comments were made after what I consider a certain pattern of lack of equality on decisions redendered on some matches. At any rate you are right, we should watch and enjoy the games (and avoid premonitory negative comments on refs). Thanks again. Cheers

Super Rugby qualifying finals: What counts as an upset?

True. Well spotted, Jacko. Aaron S is a pretty good ref too… and coincides with Angus in Sydney this coming Saturday.
