After reading this morning's All Black team to face the Wallabies in Bledisloe 2, I'm predicting the All Blacks 31-man squad for the World…
Certainly agree. Only taking three locks is definitely a possibility, which means Messam and Vito will both likely go. Reid hasn’t been performing, especially letting in 2 tries last week. I did like the aspect of taking Ardie Savea as Nigel Yalden suggested. He provides that mongrel that the pack has been lacking and most likely cover 6, 7, 8. However its probably too late now.
I like the idea of only taking 2 halfbacks and bringing in Dagg. They could start TJ for some pool games who most likey can play 80 mins to give Smith a rest.
Anyhow tomorrow’s test will answer some final questions.

Agree with you on Crotty, I’m a huge fan. As you said, I can’t see him replacing Williams though. The media fallout alone would be too huge of a distraction for the team.

I would say it would be awesome if Wales and Australia upset England. But when these sorts of things happen usually your own team gets upset. Like when Aussie lost the quarter in 2007 and then NZ lose the next day. But there will be upsets no doubt. Has there been a WC without them?

I think that Club’s where the ownership is run by boards is just bad. Especially in merger situations. Its incredible how friction in ownership has an effect on how the players play and a team performs.

Am I the only one who thinks, Richie is not going to retire next year. Has he actually said he is? That whole week when they played the test in Chch and the media ran all the stories about his last game along with DC in Christchurch, he didnt’ once say or confirm that he was leaving. I reckon he’ll still play for atleast Canterbury next year. Potentially the Crusaders, and even playing for the All Blacks again wouldn’t be that shocking.
