Alarm bells should be sounding off like the 4th of July and everyone placed on suicide alert, particularly Seibold himself! They are in serious doubt Brisbane. Boyd is doing a Thurston right now, playing one too many. Nikorima is a hooker that comes from the bench and Milf, well pluck a duck – hot and cold at best! And Seibold, I mean he has one great year in a superstar studded team and everyone’s moving tectonic plates for his signature but now – he’s getting found out terribly. There’s no gel, the players are a flock of sheep wandering around aimlessly in the pastures, a lot people a pinning it on leadership and I agree. Difficult times ahead for the Bronxnation

Something has to change at the Brisbane Broncos

Well done Val. All the best! I hope I don’t see you back in the NRL next year

Valentine Holmes officially has an NFL team

naah, I actually like talking and reading about it way ahead of its time
so keep em coming

there are those that pass time watching NRL whilst waiting for SOO

It’s Round 3 - lay off the State of Origin talk!

So the kings of grub are now the game’s baddest asses? A grand final rematch would be a better test to which they must be convincing victors for mantles like that to be thrown around.

Melbourne Storm should wear black, befitting their status as the game's baddest asses

Solution: Split the competition in half when season proper is done. Top 8 carry on as usual and bottom 8 play for something else. I think it’s totally silly for any team that finished in the 8 to take part in a wild card game. Why should they have to fight to be somewhere they normally and rightfully would already be?

The NRL’s Wildcard Weekend is making heads explode

I think the NRL is moving in the right direction but it was stated somewhere – There is the presumption of innocence, really they are opening Pandora’s box with that. And if somehow JDB is found not guilty, is he then in the advantageous position of suing because they stood him down from playing first grade or representative RL?

Too late, but not too little: ARLC gets it right on NRL player behaviour policy

15kgs? Gee I wonder how much he’ll stack on when he retires? Paul Vautin will be proud

Greg Inglis set to miss first two NRL games

Nah it’s destiny…

What happened to the Broncos?

Dear oh dear oh dear! No further comment – it’s gotten out of hand

Jack de Belin charged with aggravated sexual assault

The Broncos willingly let McGuire go to create cap space for other prospects. Mid-contract but they were not forced to release him because he didn’t want to be there. Stark contrast to what’s happened with Holmes. And McGuire can be covered quite comfortably with the young roster they’ve got, Holmes is somewhat irreplaceable. Very different circumstances

Gallen is in no position to lecture on integrity

So because the Sharks were left with no other option but to entertain his release, he didn’t walk out? Lose the righteous BS, he let people down by doing that. Yes, they could have prevented him from leaving, but tell me – what good is a player who no longer wants to be there any good for the club? His head will be elsewhere he’d be so useless he might as well be the ball boy

Gallen is in no position to lecture on integrity

yeah give me time when a decision Gallen made had serious ramifications for a club in terms of player retention and recruitment. They bent over backwards for Val and he just walks off – so I think you’ve got this the other way around

Gallen is in no position to lecture on integrity

yeah I think he played a lot of PS4 (the NFL games have playbooks you can look at too) on his holiday there more so than actually ‘view’ a couple of NFL franchises. Val, mate, you’re taking an unnecessary risk at a time when you’re at the top of the RL world that will change your present way of life, which by the way is the ruby league dream any player aspires and wishes to be living. So all the best, and I hope to heaven when you do come back – it doesn’t all go like what’s happened to Hayne

Why do we kowtow to the NFL every time a player has a dream?

Well, the cap will prevent the Dragons from having both players on the roster; one will need to miss out. Yeah I think based on past experience, the signing is a huge risk and the only sensible thing to do is walk away… but just imagine if Hayne did get it together this season? I think that possibility has the Dragons in dreamland and that’s why it’s looking like he’ll be signed. Gee, I hope we get this right! If we don’t – Mary will have something in common with Henry

If Matt Dufty is the future, then why is Jarryd Hayne the answer?

yeah who you trying to kid here, mate? why don’t you grow a couple and say sorry; that would be a good starting point. Should’ve given him 6 weeks, it was horrendous and painful to watch

Burgess to miss start of NRL season after eye-gouging suspension

I wouldn’t say the right price but the ‘right arrangement’
It has to be performance based and we should drop kick him out if he is not living up to his end of the deal! And isn’t he supposed to be attending a court case in the US next year? That could prove to be disruptive

Dragons look at Hayne for 2019 NRL: Report

I thought the 2003 and 2004 jersey were great! Not as tight as the ones they’re making now but the color was spot on! Sky Blue! I think Wizard Home Loans was the official sponsor then.

The new NSW jersey is a cash grab, pure and simple

yeah any coach at any point in time has plans to win grand finals. so there are coaches out there that are hired solely to rebuild a club?

If Ivan Cleary fails, Phil Gould must be sacked

There is one solution: Make Fittler Australian coach – case closed!

Are the all-conquering Kangaroos on the decline?

hampered by mortals and NSWelshmen? Fittler seemed to get them working pretty well almost ran in a clean sweep. But agreed, Meninga was just a jockey sitting on the back of Makybe Diva in most of his years as a coach

Meninga begins new role as rugby league coach

yeah I did mention that Cherry Evans’ inclusion in the team was a joke and Hunt and Gagai selections were questionable. Meninga needs to pick guys who actually deserve to be there. Dale Finucane and Josh Addo-Carr I thought were automatic selections. That’s why Gagai couldn’t burn them in that play in the dying seconds, he’s just not quick enough. This will give the Tongans some added confidence and Australia could walk away from this tour without a win..

Kiwis pip Kangaroos 26-24 in Test thriller

Turbo started out as a winger, he knows how to play that position as good as any winger out there. And was rightly selected in the NSW team, they probably walked away with the series because he was there. But I’m not sure about playing him at centre though. He’s a champion player and will do well

This Kangaroos side was at 1 million to 1 of being selected

Instinct? Yes, which includes messing up in the most critical moments of a game. Interesting times ahead.

NB: This is directed at Hunt himself as a player, not the Dragons

Hunt given freedom to play to instinct for Kangaroos

Ok AJ. I thought he would at least get a small cameo in there but yes, he deserves to go out honorably I guess. The best fullback I’ve seen in my lifetime, no doubt!

Presenting the 2018 Crises awards

Gee, it’s amazing how Slater doesn’t appear anywhere in there. Can score tries from knock-ons, dive like an Olympian, win medals head and shoulders above everyone else even though he played less games than others and in the losing team, convince judiciary he didn’t perform a dead set shoulder charge. You can put that in this category – ABOVE THE GAME GRUB – automatic winner!
