I feel for these guys. Being the same age and with young children, I know I would not be going.

Hawkins and Riewoldt admit they’re uneasy about hubs

I’m very tempted to tip Freo as the only time the Saints left the comfort of Marvel Stadium they were spanked.
Once again though, too many injuries at Freo and I’ll stick with the Saints.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 6

Stringer has been playing as a tall despite his height so I’d assume Stewart will come in for him. Finally fit after showing promising signs a few years ago. If Daniher can get fit soon he’ll come in and replace Stewart.

Six talking points from AFL Round 5

Absolutely gutted for Stringer. He was putting together a fine season. Ranked 2nd in the league for average goals per game and would likely be leading the Coleman if our game vs Melbourne wasn’t postponed.
Our weak forward-line will look far weaker without him.

Hawks to beat the Giants on Sunday.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 5

He honestly didn’t have to say anything at all but chose to tweet about it.
I think I’ll give up on ever having a reasoned debate with you.

Lessons learned from Round 4

It was a good defensive effort from the Essendon back 6, not the midfield. The main reason for that stat differential is Essendon’s lack of tall forward targets and Carlton doing a superb job at clogging up the space and not allowing Essendon’s (generally poor) foot disposal to hit a lead.

Good to see I wasn’t being bias on Saturday night, it would seem Jack Silvagni shared my view on the incident.

Lessons learned from Round 4

Not just stats. Howe always seems to make the right choice and his foot skills are first-rate.

Howe shattered by knee injury

The best defender in the best defense. Massive loss.

Given that papayas, trees and goats have all returned positive test results using the current COVID-19 test-kit, the accuracy of its results can be called into question at the very least.

Conor McKenna now negative to COVID-19, John Worsfold to address the media today

Could be a good season for the Blues. Great win on the weekend. The forward-line appears more flexible and functional and there is able ruck support when Kruezer is out. Should be 2-1 but will be 2-2 after the weekend playing a compromised Essendon at an opportune time.
They also won’t have to play Geelong or Richmond again.

Was Saturday night Carlton's 'SCG moment'?

Sorry Peter, should have included Collingwood as the discussion was about grand finals.

Is this the same old Essendon?

Entertaining is right. Imagine the two flakiest teams in the league doing their best to lose a grand final from winning positions.

Is this the same old Essendon?

I fantasize about 4-0 but Essendon will do Essendon things amd be 3-1 or 2-2.

AFL Power Rankings 2020: Round 2

I guess it’s because we are no guarantee to beat Melbourne (17) and Carlton (16) over the next two rounds.

AFL Power Rankings 2020: Round 2

I’m more of the opinion that we’re not quite good enough to bury teams yet.
I’m enjoying our next-gen defence. Francis, Ridley, Redmond and Saad either good or will be good players. BZT still to come. Hurley & Hooker can retire now. Francis destroyed wonder-boy Heeney.

Seven talking points from AFL Round 2

Potentially China, they do own 9,169,000 hectares of agricultural land in the state.

The AFL to apologise for Perth being far away

I was lucky enough to be there for that game in the nosebleeds. I can still imagine the crowd noise when thinking on it.

Incredible Anzac Day AFL moments

We only need to do as well as our last two games against you. A lot of outs for Freo (what’s new?) so a good time to play them, but I expect a close game.
Seems no one rates our teams this year Don.

I want to see Warner hit a ton just to see how he celebrates in front of 0 people.

Or even if a batsman makes 50, will his muscle memory make him raise the bat?

Australia vs New Zealand ODIs to be played behind closed doors due to coronavirus

Glad everyone has written off the Bombers this season. Far less external pressure than when morons like David King tip them as premiers.
A lot of injury issues to overcome but the next-gen core of 21-24 year olds is looking pretty good. Hopefully some more natural improvement in that crop can help us have a solid season.

AFL preview series: Essendon Bombers vs Melbourne Demons

Agreed, thanks Earl.

Thanks Earl

Thoroughly enjoyed this article. Look forward to more.

Looking at St Kilda’s earlgram they should be peaking this year or next, but will they?

Unfortunately, looking at Richmond’s, they and their supporters may be up and about for a bit.

North still rely on their seniors.

Melbourne have very little in the 76%-100% bracket. Does this indicate high player turnover, injuries to key players or poor form with players constantly in and out of the side?

Geelong look to have a huge hole in their list at the 25-26 age bracket which could become an issue but I’m sure they’ll plug that up in the off-season.

Bombers and Carlton still look a year or two away (if the youngins come good).

Adelaide are also still old.

Certainly a feasible scenario after playing with his idol Smith for a few big bash seasons.
