I though the Reds were the superior team in the first half. Their backs were passing well and running onto the passes well. A surprising second half does not make for a scathing review for the whole game. They seem to run out of puff.

'Classic indicators of failed coaching': Thorn is finished, so here's what should happen next for the Reds

The head of Blyth late and into the face of o’Toole was the most obvious automatic Red card that I have ever witnessed. Making it a Yellow card knowing it will be upgraded to Red was curious. How long will O’Toole take to recover from his physical damage. I pray there will be no lasting psychological damage for the young man.
Does an immediate Red allow for a replacement after 20 min, or it it 14 men for the rest of the game?
The Reds did very well to score a try with 14 on the field. Losing the plot in the last 25 min is very puzzling, despite all the writer’s suggestions .
Are Australian side sufficiently aerobic fit for the 80min? I wondered about this last year as well.
AB often won the game at the death and noticed that they still looked fresh at the end while the opposition bodies were lying panting. (watch the 86th min win over Ireland in Dublin, or at least the last 10-15 minutes) The Qld Reds also looks exhausted in contrast to the Brumbies. Hard to believe that modern coaches have not made training programs for the elementary obligation.

Rugby news: Blyth ban confirmed for Toole hit, first AB commits to next RWC cycle, why Nigel Owens rejected Rassie

Smith may site numbers about time in play, but as 80% of the time is spent by big forwards barging into the opposition for four or five boring tackles and then kicking, the amount of creative play is very small.

A pity that he will not play for the Brumbies. They have a history of bring out the best in players.
All the other converts from league did not achieve their potential.
NSW may be the money magnet, but do not get the results from their big bucks.

The Folau Factor: Why Rugby Australia have gone all-in on Suaalii

One envelope for his resignation letter??

Northern View: Whole world 'laughing their tits off' at bang average battlers, Dupont the greatest No.9 in generations

Yes , very impressive. Imagine having Dan Carter and Dupont playing together

No such thing with the Waratahs.

Picking the ideal Waratahs list for 2023

The 37% win/lost ratio is so silly and misleading.
They include a loss to the AB after a controversial last minute decision. As an AB supporter it helped the ratio data for the AB, and it was technically correct, but I have to admit it left a bad taste
Most of the Northern tour matches were won/lost by a few points, many in the last minutes or in overtime.
The stats may look bad, but the real message is that the WB are up there with their NH counterparts. Given that, it is forgivable for Rennie to take the long view an experiment with the Italy farce.

ANALYSIS: Why Rennie had to go and the ruthless Eddie edge that makes the Wallabies World Cup contenders

I always thought that when SA learn to use black African speedsters to complement their grunt forwards, they would be unstoppable. The first try was a thing of beauty – reminded me of the AB of a few years ago. They are now my favourites for the RWC.

The Wrap: Resurgent Wallabies lay down a marker for the World Cup’s 'group of life'

A bit negative. Two wins against weaker opponents and a suicidal selection loss to Italy do not sound good. BUT, narrow 1-3 point losses to RWC front-runners, which could have been wins, indicate that there is great potential in there. A penalty more or less could have resulted in 5-0 or a 0-5 record.

You prefer Hooper to Ardie Savea??.. Are you joking?
Savea is really a #7 but plays #8 so Cane can make the team

Team of the Autumn Series: Eight from the north, seven from the south and two Wallabies make the XV

A willy decision by Hooper. Take the points to avoid loss nd then maybe there will be time to try something after the restart.
What is the percentage scoring success rate from lineouts??

REACTION: 'Gutted', 'hugely disappointing' - Shocking Taniela verdict after another heartbreak

A large number of headlines o very Mark Telea’s double. I have only seen the summary replays so far, but the tries appeared on the easy end of the scale – catch and finish off. Still a nice way to start an AB career. Is he the real goods?

Debutant scores try double as All Blacks come from behind to conquer Scots

A very good point. Sooner or later someone will suffer serious neck injury. Then catch-up rules.
Also a red card early on spoils the game. The Super version of 20 min off and replacement seems a good compromise. – a significant punishment for both the individual and the team but a chance of recovery.

Mack Hanson has the star back for Ireland this year with his speed and initiative resulting in some very impressive tries.
Last year he was warming the reserve bench for the Brumbies. Has Australia lost another could-have-been Wallaby? A pity.

Northern view: Cheika shows up old mate Eddie, Ireland on the right path at last, Wales simply shambolic

The Welsh were still threatening at the 60 min mark. Not fit yet in the NH?

ANALYSIS: All Blacks ditch 'helter skelter nonsense' for patient dominance Wales couldn't handle

That ‘dummy” was fun and theatre, but it did not deceive. The Welsh prop was flat-footed by Savea’s sidestep, but recovered to take part in the tackle. His contribution as his impressive leg drive which created the space for the off-load. Still MOTM performance IMHO.

Far too complicated

It’s time for Super Rugby to embrace the American conference system

Foley is correct – he let his side down. Maybe he was tired, but I suspect that he was trying to steal a few seconds.

'Clear cut call', 'They've got to be better': Ruthless All Blacks back ref as Foley felt he 'let team down'

The players behind Foley and the ref can be seen shouting at Foley to hurry up, so they heard the ref and expressed their frustrations. Very interesting to look at the replay. It changed my opinion

'Clear cut call', 'They've got to be better': Ruthless All Blacks back ref as Foley felt he 'let team down'

Good point. o you think that the ref was evening things up after being conned by Foley with the conversion. I have seen this tactic before- the rule that no further action can be taken after the conversion should be amended.

NZ View: 'Eight-week ban' wanted for 'full on grub'. While we rage at ref, Kiwis blow up at Wallabies 'villain'

Look at the WB players behind Foley and the ref. They saw the danger and were yelling at him to take the kick quickly

Hey is highly rated. He apples the laws consistently.
I bet you time wasting will greatly diminish

Nah, they train for such contingencies. Or should if they have a good coach.
