They injured their way to successful combinations and then ignored it!

NRL Power Rankings: Storm storm back into contention, Broncos barely cling onto top-eight spot

I wouldn’t have minded Hiku to 6 and the Hammer to the centres. Save Drinkwater that added D. He doesn’t much care for it!

Round 24 Team Lists Late Mail: Cotric scratched, Dogs' COVID blow, Luai back early, Roosters boost, Cowboys shuffle

Thanks to those retiring… you have smashed your bodies for my entertainment and it was appreciated! Even for those players I regularly criticised… you have achieved something very few do!
Good luck in retirement and don’t end up like Henry Hill at the end of Goodfellas!

NRL retirees of 2022: McCullough calls quits after 300-plus games, Jackson, Fifita among stars hanging up boots

Nice article , really enjoyed it and can’t argue to much with list. Got me thinking of a couple of others with great techniques (not sure about their efficiency though :)…
Carrigan and De belin are great one on one front on defenders.
Dylan Brown would be my pick of the halves.
The HAMMER and Tolutau Koula would be my underrated, both hit hard low and quick.

From the workhorse to the heavy hitter: The NRL’s best defenders

😂 😂 … really does make you wonder how these guys get these gigs!
I thought Clifford went okay last week… McClune straight back in!

'Completely unacceptable': Stuart banned one game, fined $25,000 by NRL for 'weak-gutted dog' rant

I heard an 11-year-old Jake Clifford said something to AOB also!
Instead of holding it in for 12 years and going off at a presser, AOB played the long game.
First, he worked his way up the brutal ladder of NRL coaching until he finally had a team of his own…

Josh McGuire has been brought into the run-on team… 😂 😂 😁 😁

Round 22 team lists Late Mail: Klemmer out, Broncos late switch, Foran doubtful

Kudos to the designer of the jersey. Really great simple design. Pity about the controversy!
I don’t know about you but I would much prefer to talk about how the tigers player got off scott free for trying to break Deardons pinky with their eye!

'Significant mistake': Hasler apologises for rainbow jersey as seven players boycott Manly game

It’s just a cover-up… all 7 have monkey pox.

'Significant mistake': Hasler apologises for rainbow jersey as seven players boycott Manly game

“Doing” an eye gouge just sounds so dirty.

Mal Cochrane was a pretty decent rake back in the day… did he rep City/Country? If not, would definitely have him there somewhere. I remember him winning the Rothmans medal and not going on the Kangaroo tour when he was the in form player of the comp!

The best Manly-Warringah players who never played representative football

WTF… 😂
Seriously though he needs a mental health assessment… this is someone not in good mental space. Or hates his job. Or both.
Really NRL what’s next? Klein sniffing glue in the bunker… wait a minute!

Contract goes up in smoke: Proctor apologises after Titans sack him for 'half-time vape' incident

If that happened in a grand final I will storm NRL headquarters with a viking Spangenhelm helmet (important to historically correct… unlike those Jan 6th mob) baying for better officiating!
Unless it’s Cows again in which case I will accept the decision of the referees 😛

Tigers lodge official complaint after bunker shocker but NRL claims Cowboys challenge was legit

Agree Jimmmy…. the bunker is the definition of mission creep. Just stop the absolute howlers and we can live with the rest.

Tigers lodge official complaint after bunker shocker but NRL claims Cowboys challenge was legit

Was the statement, “we can account for teams at half strength”…

Good luck to the Sharkies this year. Really like a couple of their players. I know W. Grahem has just recently returned but jeez he looks a shadow of the player he once was.

Sharks Jump: Cronulla leap up ladder with statement win in North Queensland

Moses Mbye on wing?

Queensland deserve to dominate Kangaroo selections

Dogs are awesome.

Origin 3 match report: Fists fly in brutal decider as Maroons upset Blues - 'as good as it gets', says Slater

Its a bit sad Jimmmy but I genuinely get exited to watch him play, such a talent.
I am also man enough to admit I slightly welled up when Ben Hunt scored that try, he thoroughly deserved it… hopefully highlight reels at the end of his career start with that try and not the grand final drop!

Queensland player ratings game 3 2022: DCE shuts up the haters while Origin rookies storm the stage

Qld player ratings:
Unbelievably awesome – Hunt, Carrigan and Ponga
Awesome awesome – the rest

Special mention – 19 year old Nanai. I don’t care about the missed tackles (edge forward next to a inexperienced centre) the young man played great. Some of those off loads, just sublime.

Queensland player ratings game 3 2022: DCE shuts up the haters while Origin rookies storm the stage

Two egregious things happened last night.
1) The penalised tackle before halftime
2) Teddy’s try saver on Yeo not being shown from every camera angle available!
That tackle should have been shown in slow motion Matrix-style with a physics professor explaining how it was possible!

'So many poor decisions': Robinson takes aim at refs after Roosters lose to Penrith

Yes.

Should cameras be banned from rugby league dressing rooms?

A better player than Nanai?
He had a bad miss for one try, but this young guy is an absolute gun Tony.

'One hell of a player': Cleary masterclass leads NSW to crushing win to set up Origin decider

As a footy fan happy that API K and Burton playing. Great players and love watching them both.
However, as a QLD fan I am not looking forward to Ponga standing under a Burton special or that beautiful service out of dummy half that API provides!

MICHAEL HAGAN: How Freddy's all-or-nothing selection gamble can have Api ending

I think the Hammer is down on confidence this year. Actually really happy Taulagi got a start. He has been great all year. Gives a more potent start to the set also.

Origin 2 teams: How they'll line up - Final squads announced

I find Isaako and MBye the 2 most frustrating players in the comp. All the ingredients for a good (even above average) player are there but the recipe is somehow wrong.

Both are quick, strong, can tackle, and have a good pass but they both continually make suboptimal decisions and make mistakes at the worst possible time.

To finish the baking metaphor….. the MBye/Isaako dessert is the one you buy at an overpriced cafe. It is expensive but it looks great. You take a bite and it doesn’t taste right; you give a little to your wife and ask, “does this taste right? It looks great!”. She has a bite, her face goes from happy to slightly disappointed. She asks her friend, “You want a bite? It might be just us…” !
