I find Isaako and MBye the 2 most frustrating players in the comp. All the ingredients for a good (even above average) player are there but the recipe is somehow wrong.

Both are quick, strong, can tackle, and have a good pass but they both continually make suboptimal decisions and make mistakes at the worst possible time.

To finish the baking metaphor….. the MBye/Isaako dessert is the one you buy at an overpriced cafe. It is expensive but it looks great. You take a bite and it doesn’t taste right; you give a little to your wife and ask, “does this taste right? It looks great!”. She has a bite, her face goes from happy to slightly disappointed. She asks her friend, “You want a bite? It might be just us…” !

'Putrid' Dragons no match for Cowboys as top four surge continues

I thought Kaufusi had a really good game last night. Such an effective defender when he hits hard and low and keeps the rubbish out of his game. Actually I can’t remember to much rubbish in the game at all! Just a really good good hard game!
A big thankyou to all those players willing to hammer their bodies like that just for our entertainment!

Good stint Hunt!

How does Isaako keep his position?

Round 14 team lists Late Mail: Coates hobbled, Yeo no go, Cowboys out, good news at Broncos, Roosters cleared

Nathan Brown has coached his last game at the Warriors ….

NRL NEWS: Warriors officially dump Brown for Jones, Campbell hobbled, Rapana banned, Latrell out

Has Brown not got one good friend? It’s been nearly 20 years and he looks as though he has got worse at his job…. is no one telling him? It’s getting embarrassing!

I love the Hammer but he is a bit down in confidence at the moment. I am happy he is the squad to suck up the energy… but not surprised he isn’t starting.

Nanai’s game against Penrith was pretty damn impressive!
I went from, maybe to early for SOO, to you gotta start this kid!! Super talented!

'They pick themselves': Slater backs Maroons rookies to deliver Origin glory

Not to bad from Qld. Would rather Nanai and Grant start but other than that pretty solid!

😁 look fair enough, I understand your point but I still don’t agree. I don’t think we are going to convince each other otherwise so I will take a voluntary tackle and cease this before we are moderated for boring everyone 👍

'I don’t get it': O'Brien bemused at bunker as Broncos avoid obstruction call to romp to victory

I disagree Gray… If a blatant knock-on/head high occurs on the 2nd tackle of the set and play continues and the attacking team scores on play 5 is that not an advantage?

… what’s the difference?

The advantage is the attacking team keeps possession when it should be a penalty for either a shepherd or a voluntary tackle. 2 infringements that should be penalties and you get to play on?

Rob the voluntary tackle is personally my biggest annoyance! I have said this before but will state again. If i was a coach I would tell the defence not touch the player… just let him lay there until a a penalty is blown, especially when they lay down post a shepherd!

😂

Round 10 team lists Late Mail: Broncos duo cleared, Murray to miss Origin, Storm consider fullback switch

It could only be that! Thompson is twice the player!

Isaako before Thompson?? Really! 👎

Watched some kayo minis of the 80/90s SOO games the other night. So much good stuff off the back of Belcher and Shearer!

Canberra Raiders: All time greatest 17!

Good to see Belcher there. Loved watching him play as kid. Always seemed to conduct himself well also.

Canberra Raiders: All time greatest 17!

I thought they had a real dig HY.
Schuster made a good return.
Koula looks a good one (2 of his tackles in the second half were just perfect! I might be wrong but I think they were on different shoulders too!)
The half’s were good.

It didn’t scream dire straits to me.
I actually think the Bunnies need to assess that game more closely then Manly.

'Which is a sending off and which is sin bin?': Lawton learns fate for dangerous tackle after Hasler questions send-off

I am a little torn. I think Drinkwater has been really good at the back. The competition for positions has been really good for him. I love the Hammer at the back but would also be happy to see him in the centres. I think Hiku could play a great role in the 14… similar to Walker at Manly. Anyway, great to be talking options in a positive way instead of thinking how do we fix this! 😁

Drinkwater sinks Titans in North Queensland carve up

Didn’t get to watch live but stayed up late watching a replay with a silly grin on my face (after successfully avoiding the scoreline all night!) I have had a few drinks by then but the main reason for the silly grin was that the Cows looked really good.
Few thoughts –
– Great to see Drinkwater channelling Morgan for his solo try in the corner, I take back all those vituperative comments from last year 😁
– The combo of Luki and Nanai needs a cool name!
– Not sure Nania deserved 10 in the bin
– What do we do with the Hammer? Drinkwater or Hiku to 14?

Drinkwater sinks Titans in North Queensland carve up

Only got to to see highlights this morning Jimmmy but looked like Holmes and The Chad were better than last week!? Hopefully we can keep up the effort. 3/3 at the moment… I am happy with that.
Drinkwater seemed to have some really nice touches again, I think we need to find a place for him when the Hammer returns.

'I'm sick of it': Ricky takes aim at 'pathetic' Raiders players after Canberra chuck away another lead

I think the Broncs released this in an attempt to bring down Haase’s negotiating power & value. Kelly is out now so win-win! 😛 I like the strategy… very bold!

Broncos to investigate Haas-Kelly altercation

Thanks Jimmmy… all good so far, been lucky, very mild. Managed to miss it for 2 years and the poor kids get it just before their holidays! Reminds me of when I got the Mumps on school holidays… man I was p#ssed 😂

No Robbo, no problem as Roosters romp to 28-4 victory, three binned for Cowboys
