Its predicted for heavy rain till sunday so i don’t think we will get this one in and given we might just get 1 point for this game it means that NZ can top the table as you would assume they can beat Bangladesh
Clarke officially back for ODI World Cup
Khawaja was the player of the tournament for domestic one day, he was miles ahead of all batsman
Overhaul looms for Bushrangers after disappointing season
Don/Jo look guys i also like Clarke, he is our best batsman and will be a legend when he retires. However you can’t deny what Ann has said and make it like made up facts. He did have that argument with Katich on the team song and Katich was in the right there, he did try to take the entire team on the Packer Yacht and half the team didn’t end up going and the fighting with the selectors over whether he played grade vs CA game was there for all to see. Clarke was outstanding in how he dealth with the Hughes aftermath but there are divisions in the team since Clarke has been captain and all I am saying is that its better Smith becomes captain with Clarke playing as a batsman similar to what Ponting did, this will be better for the team. Please tell me which part of my argument you guys disagree with as we are all on our teams side and also Clarke’s side too.
Is a knife in the back really the thanks Michael Clarke deserves?
I think Ann sums up why folks want Smith as captian instead of Clarke, its not his batting but his character that most fans and senior folks in CA don’t like, he has caused rifts in the team for a while now
Is a knife in the back really the thanks Michael Clarke deserves?
Well said Pope, agree 100%
Cricket Australia's treatment of Michael Clarke has been disgraceful
It’s no secret that Michael Clarke has had troubles with his back for some time now, and more latterly with hamstrings. Even after he regains match fitness there will always be niggling doubts, despite his sometimes heroic ability bat on through great discomfort.
We can’t leave the team hanging. Steve Smith has made a very good start, the team has obviously responded positively to his appointment, and he looks the goods to continue with distinction. That said its time for Clarke to play purely as a batsman and Smith will do a wonderful job as our test and ODI captain
Cricket Australia's treatment of Michael Clarke has been disgraceful
George Bailey should be captain of the ODI team till the WC ends, Smith can be captain of the ODI team after the WC. Steve Smith should be captain of the Test team and Clarke stays as a batsmn only I am with boof and Marsh on this one
Cricket Australia's treatment of Michael Clarke has been disgraceful
I just think its time for Smith as captain, no player can dictate to the selectors what they want to do and not expect the seniors to respond back, I am with CA on this one
Cricket Australia's treatment of Michael Clarke has been disgraceful
We can be proud of the Victorian player, he has done Melbourne and Australia proud

Smith to win AB medal, Warner to win test player of the year and Finch ODI player with Maxwell as the T20 player and Sandhu as the Bradman young player of the year, Meg Lanning as the female winner and Behenderoff as the domestic player of the year, thats my predictions

Good comments Don, White has fallen behind now and boof contineus to show why he is the best coach in world cricket
Lehmann determined to continue with rotation policy ahead of World Cup
Good work boof and selectors. Hughes and Khawaja were our best 2 domestic batsman, with the unfortunate passing of Hughes and Khawaja now injured i am all for Burns being given a shot and he deserves it more then the other names simply because he hasn’t had his shot yet. I think Khawaja will come back strongly from injury and i would like to see both queenslanders embedded in the team. As for Burns i hope he does well in the boxing day test. Boof is doing a fantastic job as coach and well done to Mark Waugh and other selectors.
Sore Joe Burns set for Boxing Day Test
I would think SOK would be our second spinner, i like Ahmad but he would be third in the line after Lyon and SOK. How good was Lyon in the last test
Australia should take the 'Spin Twins' to Melbourne and Sydney
Its normal for Shaun in the past to have been picked becauseof his last name however this season he has scored runs and good luck to him. I do think others like Khawaja, Burns and Ferguson are better options but we will find out in time.
Is Shaun Marsh's selection another case of 'jobs for the boys'?
My prediction is that Stephen Smith will prove a great captain. He has grown into an accomplished cricketer who exudes confidence. It will be unsurprising if he doesn’t resemble Michael Clarke in his willingness to try unorthodox tactics. With some players you just get that gut feeling that they will take up captaincy without breaking stride. Would also love to see now some younger batsman coming in with the likes of Khawjaa, Burns and Carters given a good run. Khwaaja in particular is one like Hughes who just needs a extended run to show his class. Watch out for the Indians bouncing back in the coming game. Great to see Starc back in the X1 again.
HENRY: Smith's appointment means it's time for the tyros
Get the likes of Khawaja in, dont’ make the same mistake we did wei th Hughes and get the guys we know will be long term stars for us
Selectors, all we are saying is give youth a chance
Yes Smith deserves to be captain
Aussies need to learn from Hughes and prepare for the future
I think both Lyon and SOK are good spinners, i can’t see why both can’t be our top 2 spinners for the coming years, and in the background we have guys such as Boyce and Zampa improving their trades and getting ready for their stints at the top level
Lyon's Test spot on the line at Adelaide
He is a legend and the best coach we can have in this situation given what he went through with when Hookes died, he will lead the boys back
Darren Lehmann the mainstay in times of trouble
Marsh will most likely not play as i can’t see Clarke missing out for a test that will mark Hughes memory. I am hoping Khawaja does well in the coming shield game as he was brilliant in the matador cup
Shaun Marsh added to Australia's Test squad for first Test
Agreed, Warne was a great player, but his biased friendship is getting in the way of making some intelligent comments, boof is the best coach going around and seriously does anyone remember how badly we were doing after the homework saga where Arthur had divided the team, now we are a united team thanks to Lehaman not Clarke or Warne.
When Shane Warne speaks, you'd be foolish not to listen
