Fair call, maybe. I feel Marsh I decent talent to be honest. Obviously he hasn’t performed up to standard to date but he still has hundreds in international cricket. You have to know which end of the bat to hold to do that. More the way he bats than anything, I think he will be better than Marsh too.
Regarding the English players, Fair call on Stirling with Balance, Hales, Taylor and others coming through. Regarding Dockrell, I’d argue that there are few better options. Who is are England’s spinners behind Swann and Monty ( both Over 30). Kerrigan? Tredwell? Neither are going to dominate at test level. Rashid hasn’t developed as he might have. Rafiq and Briggs may both develop. In my opinion, Dockrell shows more promise than any of these. Who are other young spinners coming through? I’d genuinely like to know, my knowledge of county cricket isn’t absolutely comprehensive.
