For having a 17th century rant on a human rights issue, you’re definitely open to ridicule. And it’s because of something you chose to say, rather than when you started mocking who people are. See the difference?

NRL Pride Round on agenda for inclusion in 2023 draw despite Manly Seven's objections

No matter how the Kiwis come into a match against Aus, they are always a great chance. It should be pretty close but I’m not sure Jahrome Hughes is 100%.

Another insightful guest- how dare others ask respect in a field where they are continuously mocked and derided?
Get with the times grand-dad.

NRL Pride Round on agenda for inclusion in 2023 draw despite Manly Seven's objections

The act of refusal to show respect or support for a group in the game that has long been looked down on is appalling and there’s no defence.
Your religious beliefs, whatever they are, are yours and your own business. Until it comes to the way you treat others. The second you start using your religion as a shield, you are deserving of it being tested.
Josh, and anyone else here of a religious nature, aren’t entitled to spout rubbish and hide behind a Bible.

Grand Final Five: Penrith aren't just best team in 2022, they're one of the greatest ever

A lot are pretty subjective. Match winners obviously higher in the list but the feel good stories (of which there are many) are purely subjective. Who’s to say Cronks retirement win in 2019 was more of a great GF moment than Webcke 2006 or Lazarus 1999 or Ennis 2016
The Feldt try should be 1 though.
Followed of course by 24 Melbourne moments because I am not at all biased.

25 in 25: Greatest Grand Final moments in NRL era: Cowboys comeback? Benji flick? Sattler tackle? Storm penalty try?

Took me 25 rounds, but I tipped a perfect round. Proud of myself but not my 139 total for the year.
Keen for finals and I think as average as Storm have looked, we have an alright finals run ahead. Let’s go September!!!!!
Brisbane will hate that they missed finals but a lot of Bronc fans I know are happy they’ve improved so much from last season.

NRL talking points Round 25: Half the competition bids us adieu

I think you’re mistaken- every single year Parra go without a title adds to the comedy.

So for us neutrals, who is the most bearable NRL premiership winner?

Bellyache developed talented youngsters into legends and stuck with journeymen. Robbo hasn’t made finals without million dollar spines that he purchased at their peaks.
Bennett has done both though.

Storm/Chooks game shaping up as a belter. I’d really like to finish 4th this year because of the draw you could get. Rather play Penrith Week 1.

NRL Round 23 talking points: Don’t act surprised, we all saw this coming

It was great to see the team live – you could smell Nelson’s malice from the second tier.

Reynolds says Broncos have to use 'sh--ty feeling' as motivation as Melbourne run up 60 to derail finals hopes

I think it could happen. I hope it does. And form changes very, very quickly- Cowbs were flying ahead of everyone else a few weeks ago. But without Paps it’s tricky. I’m an eternal pessimist- last year during our win streak I found something to pick apart. My view is that our rivals will know how to beat us.
But I do think Munster will shine and lead the team to just short.

Pretenders or contenders? This will be Brisbane's biggest game of the season

Dally M Positional Awards are usually different from the actual standouts- eg Tedesco has arguably been the best FB this year, but Edwards picks up Dally M points.
I think your points team is close- Manu may edge Olam for points.

Hynes chance to upset Hunt, Yeo and Edwards for Dally M Medal: Who's leading race for all individual awards

Call it a late season revival, and yeah I don’t see us getting to the GF, but we get up for Broncs games. Hughes back is a massive in for our Purple People.

Pretenders or contenders? This will be Brisbane's biggest game of the season

Koroisau will be unlucky to miss out- but I think Hunt and Grant will be the two. Origin wins count for a lot. Depends what happens between now and the Cup.

Who should Meninga’s two World Cup hookers be?

This article is correct. 100%.
And we saw last night why- in the Storm/Panthers game. I can’t for the life of me remember the play, but the commbox were questioning a call made by the refs and Cam Smith jumped in explaining the rule the ref was following- word for word. The commbox went silent and Joey Johns asked him ‘Do you have the set of rule books in your house?’
Drama was nearly stirred and Cam shut it down quick- explaining why it was the right call. Drama averted and viewer educated.

Position vacant: NRL commentator who knows rules - a ref explaining calls will make huge difference

Cam Smith already is in the comm box.

Munster has had far and away a better season than Cleary.

The top five players in the NRL

If we had Jahrome Hughes, I’d be a lot more confident. I’m still looking forward to the game though, should be entertaining.

The Roar’s NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 22

Agreed. In fact let’s take this idea further. Remove Penrith from the comp because they’re too good.

For the good of the game, we must cull the Kangaroos from the Rugby League World Cup

Most reasons given for Newcastle apply to Storm- famous biff, famous Grand Finals and classic golden-point games. And I dare say Manly fans have a bit more glee in their Melbourne rivalry if you ask- they’ll even tell you a specific scoreline from a game we played 14 years ago.

'Intense hatred': Newcastle versus Manly is the NRL's biggest rivalry

Even more than that; ‘I don’t find it appealing- why does anyone else?’ rather than ‘here’s exact crowd, tv and ratings figures proving it’

'It trumps league': Why don’t the media give rugby union a fair go?

Keen to see Meaney take the 6 jersey. Could be a revelation.

NRL Round 1 team lists Late Mail: TPJ out of Dogs opener, Brimson doubtful for Titans

Agreed- too many variables in a 16-team comp to award it to one team retrospectively.
Every team Melbourne beat in that period has legitimate grievances.

It’s not too late to right the wrongs from the Storm salary cap fiasco
