RAs position is that they gave IF clear guidance as to what was allowed in terms of what he could & could not post as part of last years warning.

Twiggy is a clever bloke. His company’s employ a lot of people. How many of those people do you think have contracts that have clauses about appropriate social media use?
Does he want to risk long term business relationships by backing a person looking to restrict an employers ability to ensure their company’s reputations are not damaged by employees posting things on social media?

Reading NFJ’s comments in this article I would wonder what substantive evidence he had to provide the tribunal. He pretty clearly says he didn’t know what warning or advice Folau had received prior to meeting with him.

His personal coach has a belief that a persons body is built to carry only so much bulk and that pliability is more important that sheer strength.
Works for TB12 but the patriots have real concerns about other players in more ‘power’ based positions doing that type of training.

Bobby, of course they can pass, catch & tackle. Doing the basics under pressure from the opposition is the issue.

If Cooper was in a NZ franchise the result would have been the same. He couldn’t have changed franchises part way through the season. The only players that can move between franchises in NZ are players who aren’t on full contracts who are signed to another franchise as a full time player.
So, how will this all work for Australian rugby?
The AB’s have 3 selectors. Hansen, one of the assistants (has been Foster lately) + Grant Fox. Tends to work for Hansen because he encourages the other 2 to challenge his calls.

The Samoan community in NZ is larger & more established jeznez. NZ administered Samoa until 1962 & immigration to NZ was pretty common.
Tonga has not had as closer a link with NZ historically with 1986 being the recognised start of major permanent migration as visa requirements were changed. Prior to that Tongans generally arrived in NZ on visitor permits only.

Hi Ralph, the main concern I have is the number of young players signed to these rookie contracts who simply don’t make it to grade football. My understanding is that a NRL club can sign 10 rookies a season outside of the salary cap. I would suggest a good number of those don’t end up on full NRL contracts.

Rugby league is a large drain on young talent in NZ. The NRL clubs are very active in signing talented young rugby players out of school. The NZR can’t compete with the contracts offered through the Super Rugby system.
