Thank you, Steve. You set a nice point about Okon. He’s inexperienced coach in his first season as head coach for an A-league team. Previous experience was from the national team youth teams and as an assistant.
I think this a big challenge and a lot of pressure for him. Players should be closer to each other not allowing big holes for the opponent to make easy passes like with the goal of Holosko. They should need to work on that.
Of course, you need the players to help you as well.
Am not a coach but if I was , I would try to look on other teams (abroad teams defensive schemes) and try to come with a defensive model that would limit the issues.
Final point they need to work with young players for the future. If they are not going to be competitive at least develop talent.

Hey, guys thanks for posting. Caseres sold to Manchester City, this is every player dream to play in the Premier League. Of course, now plays for Melbourne City (loan). He’s going to be monitor closely and see if he’s going to make the next step.
For Mitch Austin , I think he wanted to play with a more competitive team. Last years bad record I think force him to leave.
As far as Antony Kalik, was sold for just 32,000 Euro , around $50,000 am not sure. He wanted to play in Europe and had the opportunity to play in Europa League (playoff) .
As far as the price for me is low for a young talent.
All this are young players with future , wanted to make the next move. The team didn’t look to have future especially after the bad record last year .
I don’t think the management did a bad job on try to keep them.

I totally agree. Melbourne City was very impressive. But the moment of the game for me was Tim Cahill goal. Is not just the distance but also how quick he reacted , when he saw the goalkeeper far from the goal post. With his talent,experience and leadership would be crucial for Melbourne City success.
