Five days doth make a Test match not two, being three less than Five, nor should you countenance three being two less than five. Five being the number our Lords set out in the holy book. Four, Four being one less than Five. Five, is the number being nay, one more than Four as is written. Three….

Four-day Tests? Traditionalists say no but red-ball format needs to move with the times to stay relevant

Look, I just want to say Green, now what’s the question again ?

As a cricket tragic I am ambivalent about BBL. It’s not my scene and that’s alright, I say well that’s all right, I’m loving my baby and that’s alright,I say that’s alright

Time for Test cricket fans to do the annual ‘give BBL a try’ merry dance - it's not for everyone ... and that's OK

My favourite Australian Cricketer. First picked, in my view. I’ve read here before suggestions his primary role is to tie up an end! What utter nonsense. He is a deadly weapon.

Why Lyon should keep playing Tests into his roaring 40s - and Maxwell can keep white-ball berths as long as he wants

Firstly, I would like to say “Green”

CHAMPIONS! Head's heroic ton, bowling brilliance sees Aussies crush India for SIXTH - and best - World Cup win

My local cricket ground in Brisbane The Jack McLaughlin Oval is but 15 mins walk. Home of the Western Suburbs Bulldogs. They refuse to promote upcoming games which can often feature shield and very occasionally Test Stars. They have a lovely restored heritage grandstand and plenty of shade trees on the boundary. What’s more, a very busy road adjacent but no sign advertising upcoming fixtures. The primary school across the road does it FFS. There is plenty of postings on line showing highlights of play and results but no effing upcoming matches

Absent Sheffield Shield Crowds: Quality players, quality cricket, potential future stars of the game...but where is everyone?

World class Test bowlers “off road” World class Test fielders with “time” to apply pressure. Tis a great form of cricket “proper cricket”

Ace of Chase: Cummins, Starc steer Aussies into World Cup decider after classic semi as Proteas' knockout curse continues

First, just let me say ” Green”. Secondly, this is the Best writing I have had the pleasure to read on this site by a long margin. Totally agree with your sentiments.

Forget the knockers - Cricket's World Cup is proving the 50-over game is a thing of beauty

Green. The problem in this format is how bowlers adapt from wicket taking balls to balls that are difficult to score off. This tactic leads to wickets and creates pressure in the dugout. Not sure world class test bowlers are best at this. However, given the paucity of ODI err why bother?

The Australian line-up that can win the Cricket World Cup … if the selectors make the right calls

Green, “The Stoinis Conundrum” what have we come to ? It’s like the selectors went ” yeah what evva” when reminded the 1 day format was still around

If ever there was a demonstration of clueless it was Bairstow. There is only one source of embarrassment and it ain’t the Aussies

‘Wouldn’t even enter my mind to do that’: Bairstow reignites Ashes stumping furore, accuses Aussies of claiming unfair catches

It’s just that my memories are of channel 9 coverage. Not that Chapelli didn’t drive me nuts and don’t get me started on Mark Taylor but there was a good mix of the crowd noise and the commentary teams this coverage seems really flat in comparison. I quite miss Bill and Tony and the master Ritchie

Siege mentality paying dividends as Pakistan pummelling puts Aussies back in World Cup contention

Last night was my first chance to watch a ODI in what must be years now since it disappeared behind the pay walls. I have always loved ODI on TV but there was something really lacking in the coverage sound and a lot of the commentary. Sounded like the commentary team were phoning it in over subdued crowd soundtrack. I went to bed even though Warner and Marsh were carving.

Bronco errors were the reason Penrith got back into the game. Still, pretty amazing resilience from Penrith to take full toll. Exciting game with hands off refereeing. As a Broncos supporter a flat feeling today.

‘We took ‘trust the process’ to the absolute extreme’: How incredible Penrith comeback looked from on the field

Of course the stats on game day are the only relevant ones. Errors, dear boy, errors! Make em and you’re gonna pay.

Penrith’s statistical dominance adds up to an almost invincible team but Broncos can cause upset with quality over quantity

The difference in economy rate is marginal However, strike rate and average shows a bigger difference distinctly in favour of Zampa. Like taking wickets is kinda the aim of bowling but we’ll you know
