Soccer in Australia has no control over private school pathways of soccer players, just public schools do they have a say.

You are all over the place. You are only looking at from random you. Lots of rugby fans ain’t involved in community rugby and want Saturday night from an attendance point of view. And many want sat night who are involved in community rugby and Sunday arvo a non rugby day to do other stuff. Your time slot option doesn’t suit most , Next.

But it’s just not me. Nrl ratings in 2021 aren’t good and junior participation is down.
Are you saying there are fans in 2021 who would know the names of 70% Of all 16 clubs roster? Up to 2010 I used to know 90%-95% of all players in the nrl.

Rugby league is in National decline. Crowds are down , tv ratings down , junior participation down , country RL is terminal decline . The sport has become robotic and less big hits. The sport was way more popular with the masses in the 90’s and 2000’s. The average 45yr old middle age man in Sydney doesn’t watch NRL anymore .
Some will say most sports fans are an 18-38 demographic and always have been, so if the nrl has less middle aged people watching it doesn’t matter as that’s not there target market. But I don’t see young ppl following footy much these days. I’m middle aged and I hardly know any new players since 2010. I used to know every team sheet of teams from 1985-2010 etc. I couldn’t tell you 95% of players in the nrl these days etc.

But super rugby went for 23yrs and we travelled to South Africa and had high travel costs.

And that doesn’t rate as high on tv and that equals less money and people are busy on Sunday afternoon to you know . No time slot is perfect. I like Saturday night as it’s the best option for the majority .

There is some good private school soccer. Some sorta private schools Sydney or nsw state knockout comp etc. I often would get annoyed at private schools with there lack of concern for developing more competitive competition structures to help the wallabies etc. but facts are they don’t wanna help elite sport the school boards that run these private schools, and don’t see at as obligation to help Aussie national sports teams.
So to cut it short, private schools don’t wanna help A-League franchises or the Socceroos become more competitive and don’t care at all how well or how bad the Socceroos go.
All I can add is, be grateful soccer is even on there schools sports curriculum as for most of these private schools history, soccer wasn’t even a sport offered at these schools…

No. She hasn’t stepped up enough in big World Cup qualifiers or World Cup or Asian cup or Olympics . Harry kewell Tim Cahill Viduka Ned Zelic are all ahead of her as is Lucas Neil and Schwarcher

I’d like a full time pro NRC, or just one kiwi side(like NRL with Warriors).
Netball ditched the kiwi teams.
And then we have an Asian Pacific champions league style over the course of the season to find champs of Asia pacific(Japan aust nz, best Hong Kong side). But an all Aussie NRC full time pro comp with lots of foreign imports I’d like.
I’ve heard some say Richard kahui and rob kearney at force is bad for wallabies and Oz rugby as it’s blocking pathway for young Aussie players. Boo hoo , I want a more competitive force. So yep next yr, just have a full time pro NRC and no kiwi teams in our domestic comp. but allow lots of foreign imports and private owners. Heck have a privately owned comp seperate from RA. Abandon wallaby first model and centralisation, and let RA focus just on wallabies. No kiwi teams next yr. no Aussie fans are missing South African super rugby sides that’s obvious.

Okay but should other fans be alienated then coz of club land loyalists who put time in on Saturday morning and afternoon? Are you saying rugby fans not affiliated to a club should be alienated , as well as plastic fans who only watch on tv when a big game is on(plastic fans bring in tv ratings$).
