News for you Alex Glen, TPJ won’t be the only one leaving the club at years end. Best you make the call early before you get tapped on the shoulder by Mr. Ben Ikin.

TPJ call leaves Broncos skipper shattered

Great to watch a close game. Roosters v Storm was a blow out. SOO has been one sided. This game came down to 80 minutes and could have gone either way. Good RL.

The Panthers upset Parramatta as Moses' Origin audition doesn’t go to plan

Amusing post but way off the mark. NSW have an amazing team in 2021 but they don’t stack up against other teams in the last decade. Immortals are rated for a reason. In ten years we can make calls but not after two dominant wins.

State of Origin 2 player ratings: NSW Blues

Super game. The girls are great athletes and the scoreboard was in favour of Queensland however the contest was so close it could have gone either way in challenging weather conditions.

Maroons snatch Women's Origin glory

Haas as lock could be a sensation. He has a big engine and can play eighty minutes. He is solid in defence and for a big man has a quick play the ball.

Bellamy would not accept his ill discipline

Brisbane's recruitment strategy is all wrong and the proof is on the field

TPJ is an ill disciplined footballer. A good player but not up to the standard required at NRL level. He wastes the salary cap by not being eligible for selection each week due to suspension. He would not last as the top clubs. Time for him to part company with the Broncos.

Brisbane's recruitment strategy is all wrong and the proof is on the field

Alex Glenn has to go. Captain of a wooden spoon team potentially two year in a row is disastrous. If he plays in 2022 I will be disappointed. Nice guy but the game has gone past him.

Not just overnight, over a decade. Amazing legacy.

The only negative thing about Boyd Cordner was that he didn’t suit the anti-Roosters narrative

Outstanding player. Even better bloke.

Justis was served.

Is Daly Cherry-Evans Queensland's version of Mitchell Pearce?

Trash talking Gallen was shown who’s boss by Huni. Justis is going on for bigger and better things than a NRL has been. Outstanding display of technique and talent. Huni is our Olympic Games prospect and will surely do us proud.

Do you think Wayne Bennett will be appointed Brisbane Broncos coaching director in 2022.

Concussion forces Boyd Cordner to quit NRL

So they loose one game from 13 rounds. They were without seven first grade players.

Cleary clan heckled as Tigers break Panthers’ streak

I like your thinking Clancy. Sure the new rules need a change of thinking for many, and yes it is a contact sport however the data is in and it’s conclusive. Head and neck contact is not the way forward. Too many players are suffering from the devastating effects and they are a long time retired as opposed to a short playing career. Brett Horsnell, Ian Roberts, Jake Friend. The list goes on. Origin will be just fine with the speed of the game, ball skills, athleticism and physicality. I too am not worried about how SOO will be governed.

I’m not worried about how Origin will be refereed

I like your sense of humour. Maybe a script for something like ‘Shrek’, played by Paul Gallen.

Thanks for the tips. My tips are fairly mainstream this week. I was shocked by Newcastle beating the Sea Eagles in round 12.

The Roar’s NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 13

Great list. You have picked some mean players. They are tough as nails and NO I would not like to meet any of them in a dark alley.

The NRL dark alley all stars

Gordon Tallis, in his book, Raging Bull, says:

“People ask me about my ethnic background. Newspapers pick me in their “fantasy” Indigenous and Aboriginal sides. To tell the honest truth, I haven’t worried too much about it. An auntie of mine did some research and she found that my great-grandfather came from North Western Ambrym in Vanuatu and my great-grandmother was from Loh Island in the Torres Strait. All we were ever told in my family was that we were Australians. My dad was born in Townsville and his dad was born in Bowen, so that makes us Australian and we’re proud of it. I have played in one Indigenous side though, the Redfern All Blacks, who won the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tournament in 1992. That was some side. We had Choc Mundine who was about 17, Tricky Trindall who was 25, and Wes Patten who was 19. People might have read a bit into me playing in that tournament but to me it was just a chance to play some footy with my mate.“

What would an all-time Indigenous State of Origin challenge look like?

Right you are. I’ve been to the bookshelf and can happily report that Meninga
said in his book, ‘Meninga from Superstar to Super League – The Life and Turmoil of Mal Meninga:

“At school I was aware of racists. There were plenty of times I got into fights because of my colour. People thought of me as an Aborigine but I am not an Aborigine, I am a South Sea Islander.”

What would an all-time Indigenous State of Origin challenge look like?

Great concept Tony. I would try and make room for Mal Meninga. Maybe a bench spot.

What would an all-time Indigenous State of Origin challenge look like?

Not while the Penrith Panthers and the Melbourne Storm are playing.

Can Manly win the premiership?

No, in his back pocket is correct. The Qld Premier stuffed a fat cheque in his (V’landys) back ……
