The list has been overrated for a couple of years. Bont and Libba have carried this team for a while. Not sure why everyone is banging on about players leaving but if it gets us draft capital in return, well and good. Lobb can gladly go to Collingwood – he’s superfluous to needs. Daniel has not captured his previous form for a few years. Smith was always leaving this year if you listen to the media. Love to see the kicking efficiency of Dale improve. Treloar is getting a lot of the ball but his disposal is questionable. There are a few kids who need more time in the midfield and they need to play Busslinger.
As for the coach….. bring back Gia. Murphy and Boyd can be his assistants because they can’t be any worse then what we’ve got now.

Even Bulldogs fans know your time is up, Luke Beveridge please do us a favour and move on as painlessly as possible

Yawn

Garcia wasn’t bad at all. Thought he was clever with his kicking and just might push Sanders back to the twos

Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why

Definitely problems with the coaching but I still think they’re regenerating the list on the fly. They brought in Harmes, Bramble, those types, to add speed and aggro. I’m all for playing the kids and Sander’s dummy spit just showed how young he is. Cornes saying he was destroying careers was a bit of a stretch though.

Six Points: Why Dogs' disaster isn't all Bevo's fault, Eagles on their way, and 2024's biggest beat-up

Seems to be the “in” thing to attack Beveridge. Shows you how the media really don’t like it when someone won’t play their game. Doubt he will be getting a contract extension but there is more amiss at the Doggies than just the coach. Think you nailed the analysis.

Six Points: Why Dogs' disaster isn't all Bevo's fault, Eagles on their way, and 2024's biggest beat-up

Definitely think there has been improvement. Everyone forgets how young some of these guys actually are. What’s more, they play with real heart.

'Stuck in quicksand': The Bulldogs are lost in mid-table mediocrity again - and something's got to give soon

Think you’re too harsh on Buku but agree with the rest. He is getting better every game.

The reliance on a few players had/ has to change and as a supporter I’m happy they’re playing the kids. We need to get game time into them. Our list has always been overrated. We have a couple of bonafide stars that have carried us for the last few years and I don’t count Daniel or Macrae as part of that cohort. Yes they have been good servants but when the going got tough it was others doing the heavy lifting. Think that we are regenerating the list so will be mid table for a couple of years.

No, weightman had a bad year and JUH is still developing. The list has been overrated for years.

Long-term mega-contracts like Naughton's is player power at its best - but a disaster waiting to happen for clubs

Don’t think the doggies list is that great. Need more than bont, Libba and English to make a team

Six Points: Unsung heroes driving Pies to glory, Eagles set a benchmark, and 2023's best sub performance

And you cannot see past your own biases. Darcy is outstanding in the rucking contest but does not provide enough contest afterwards. The very attributes that make him a good ruckman hinder his ability to get to contests when the ball is in dispute.

Six Points: Unsung heroes driving Pies to glory, Eagles set a benchmark, and 2023's best sub performance

Cherry picking stats. Darcy had 2 tackles and 9 pressure acts. English had 10 tackles and 23 pressure acts. English is handier around the ground while Darcy’s strength is his tap work.

To be fair, umps don’t kick for goal.

Footy Fix: Sure, the Swans' shocking kicking butchered a win... but the Cats blew it just as badly

Not sure “free fall” is the right description but there are issues for sure. Richards and JJ gave us zip and meant that Williams could be used on a wing. I’m interested to see how Poulter goes down the back. Hope his ball use is good. You can’t use injuries as an excuse as all teams have them but the problem arises when they are all in one area of the ground. Darcy needs some luck with injuries to get some continuity into his game. Not sure why Khamis is playing forward in the VFL either although I suppose they have Busslinger developing. Currently they are a fair to middling team, not the class of the Pies or the Power but similar to those teams 6-10 on the ladder.

The Bulldogs are in freefall - and only radical changes can save them

Was up there for that game and the Suns have a LOT of work to do to capture the market. A lot of the locals I spoke with already have their teams but there were smatterings of support in the crowd for the suns

Six Points: De Goey response a ridiculous overreaction, Port's perfect half, and the wildest round in years

Think it was particularly toxic that someone leaked the story. Hardwick has done a magnificent job for the Tigers and it is sad that someone thought leaking his resignation the appropriate thing to do.

TOM MORRIS: What the Damien Hardwick bombshell means for the AFL coaching landscape

But were the Blues terrible because the Crows forced them into errors or was it an off night? I think the crows are severely underestimated. They are definitely on the rise and Carlton were just outplayed last night.

Footy Fix: The AFL's best kick has turned the Crows from pretenders to contenders - any chance of tagging him?

And yet free kicks were in favour of the Lions….. Let it go

Footy Fix: Jamarra's Dogs played with nothing but heart - shame the Lions left theirs at the Gabba

Never called him Kosi in my life but whatever. Think six weeks is too harsh and the current rules would never allow it any way. My point is the rules don’t currently address his actions. He deliberately left the ground to bump someone high. His coach says he plays on the edge and that’s just his way. What happens when he tips over that edge and seriously hurts someone?

Six Points: Kozzie's bump deserved a month off, draws are awesome, and the Pies are officially likeable

Missing a few of a small forwards doesn’t help. Big fan of Arthur Jones. Hopefully he and Cody Weightman can get back soon. Also why is Rhylee West not playing. Prefer him over Hannah just for the pressure he brings.

Six Points: Kozzie's bump deserved a month off, draws are awesome, and the Pies are officially likeable

So we all just wait for Pickett to knock someone out now? Minimal punishment isn’t a deterrent. Look at what Cotchin gets away with. AFL made a rod for its own back when Cripps got off on a technicality last year. Seems intent is irrelevant and it’s the consequences that determine the punishment.

Six Points: Kozzie's bump deserved a month off, draws are awesome, and the Pies are officially likeable

Do I think Dunkley is a great get? Hell yes. Do I think he is the solution to the lion’s woes? No. Their tall forwards need to get more aggressive and they need more from their defensive half.

Why Brisbane is one of the biggest losers of the 2022 Trade Period

It will be interesting to see who bids for them. I’d love to see really early bids from GWS and North but I’m petty like that 😂

AFL Trade Period power rankings: The team that cleaned up... and the one that just got nuked, AGAIN

Swans supporters seem to gloss over the fact that Goodes did some dirty acts on the field. I’m not 100% certain all the booing was due to his ethnicity but due to his actions. He could be an incredible footballer but like Ginnivan, actions speak louder than words. Saying this, Goodes as a footballer was brilliant. However Ginnivan encourages reaction. If he’s booed it’s generally because he stirs crowds up. He’s a real character and has talent in spades but maybe he should pull his head in until he’s won a flag.
