Glory actually remind me of the Kenny Lowe era atm, you don’t know what you’re going to get which is very un-Popovich like.

Substance in the A-League: Who has it and who needs it badly?

I’m a Glory fan as well and yeah ultimately it’s disappointing, even more frustrating in that the football that the boys dished up second half was brilliant, exhilarating even….but again 3 goals is alot to peg back questions need to be asked why we switched off at the back in the first half.

Melbourne City pip Perth in a thriller

Well I don’t think you can say you deserve 3pts after conceding 3 goals at home but Glory certainly should have taken a point at least, . Funny old game absolutely hammered City for 45 mins in the 2nd half and only had 2 goals to show for it,while City put 3 away in about 10 mins and didn’t really do much else!

A-League expert tips and predictions: Round 21

Yeah as a Glory fan it’s a worry this guy (or company) seemed like the best option to invest in the club. Tony can only reach into his own pocket for so long.

Shock horror: Perth Glory's sale to LFE won't go ahead

He also said pre match ( pitch side) that Sydney Fc’s time off was a positive because they could focus solely on Yokohama and rest some bodies.

Was Sydney FC’s ACL embarrassment the A-League’s fault or just a bloke named Ange’s?

A shame hardly a words been spoken of Glory’s performance the night before. Professional, composed and disciplined… restricting the opponent to having to take shots from distance, unfortunately one took a slight deflection and dipped in. Didn’t get any rewards this time but can certainly see points being picked up going forward.

Amor was who I was thinking of. FFA Cups are silverware but let’s be honest not a massive priority.

Dismal start to the season proves costly for Kurz as Victory show head coach the door

Genuine question slightly off topic, when was the last time a foreign coach won the A-league Premiership/Championship was it Gombau? We talk alot about quality imports on the pitch but the imports on the sidelines haven’t really done the business overall.

Fantastic hit though technically more a Ronaldo knuckle shot than Beckham bender.

Olyroo morphs into David Beckham with stunning free kick

I think the saying a fish rots from the head down could be applied to both clubs also. The owners of both clubs don’t seem particularly ambitious.

Can anyone work out Western Sydney or Brisbane?

tbh Buddy I always thought it would take time. When your main man up front has been out of football for a year and add to that he’s a totally different player than your last striker(Keogh)… it was asking alot to hit the ground running. Has to be said all these goals and winning run has come without Ikonomidis, if he hits form Glory gets even stronger though Chianese has been fantastic.

Can anyone work out Western Sydney or Brisbane?

Maybe Glory’s “potential” strike force is reaching it’s potential? 14 goals in 4 games ain’t too shabby…. and only conceded twice as maybe the defence has tightened up as well!

Can anyone work out Western Sydney or Brisbane?

Ikonomidis must be falling into the freezing cold category. Looks a shadow of the player we saw from last year and with Chianese flying and Glory scoring goals for fun he’s got a battle on his hands getting back into the side.

A-League Round 12 hot and cold

City showed they haven’t got the cojones to challenge for the plate so now will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure of holding onto 2nd. The Glory are coming and the Phoenix look good too so they’ll have to lift their game big time.

Can City get Maclaren firing again?

Oh don’t be silly, you gotta talk…or complain…about something while you’re in there

Rampant Glory hit Jets for six

Glory fans I meet at the urinals at HBF stadium mainly

Rampant Glory hit Jets for six

I said about 4-5 weeks ago what James Meredith would offer to the team would determine our fortunes going forward. We look a completely different side with him bombing down the left. We have genuine balance and width now, teams are getting stretched and Castro and Fornaroli are finding themselves with room to do their thing. I think talk of our demise was a little premature

Rampant Glory hit Jets for six

Was great to have him back, Meredith is looking better with every game I was really impressed with him too. We just looked so balanced and composed on Friday and hopefully it’s the start of change in fortunes.

Six talking points from A-League Round 9

Well saying he puts in a good cross every few years undermines his quality massively in any case

My wrap-up of Round 9 of the A-League

I think past Glory strikers would disagree about Risdons balls in, Keogh scored many a goal off a Rizzo cross.

My wrap-up of Round 9 of the A-League

Popovich deserves alot of credit for putting out a very organized side on Friday night I don’t recall City having one meaningful shot on target the whole match. Always good to have a plan b when plan a isn’t working out might have to have a little more cautious approach for now to climb up the table

Six talking points from A-League Round 9

Yeah gonna be one those seasons for Glory, literally an inch was the difference in the ball hitting the net twice last night and an inch made a difference with some onside/offside calls last week. I do believe these things even out over a season and you’ll win more games than lose playing like we did last night. Premiership is gone but the season is hardly over plenty to play for domestically and in Asia

Kruse inspires Victory to A-League breakthrough

I think City will have to show what they’re made of on the road before we can say they’re the real deal. Gotta say though they’ve handled the loss of McLaren very well.

Six talking points from A-League Round 5

On Popovichs kids, you might have a point if he started them in front of established players but that’s not the case. K.Pop has done well every time he’s come on and is probably getting game time ahead of Jake Brimmer/ Brandon Wilson but they’ve never really stood up when called on so they can have no complaints.
