What football did for Gallop- A very nice salary and all expenses trips to various countries around the world he probably never would have been to.
What Gallop did for football – ……..ummm I’ll have to get back to you on that

Confirmed: David Gallop stepping down as FFA CEO

Left or right I could care less, if I’m out and the topic of politics or religion comes up I quietly slip out the convo, football…now football I could talk all night about

Rapinoe vs Trump: Disrespectful or inspiring activism?

I’m sick to death about hearing about American politics and quite frankly resent it finding its way into a football tournament.

Rapinoe vs Trump: Disrespectful or inspiring activism?

Some pretty ordinary behaviour happening at this World Cup which hasn’t been a good look for women’s football.

The men’s kit is just as bad if not worse, Nike kits in general are rubbish compared to Adidas. Umbro make some nice ones too

Matildas knocked out by Norway in penalty shoot-out

If you’re gonna defend as shockingly as these girls did in this tournament you can’t really be taken seriously as a contender for the cup. Asleep at the back for Norway’s goal and were exposed again leading to the red.

Keogh also had nearly an hr on the pitch so he plenty of time to win the game. Brosque and Le Fondre didn’t have a sniff either just wasn’t that type of game

Maybe….maybe not but it was hardly baffling to start with a pacey front 2, Ikon and Chianese have both been great all season. Poppas squad rotation has been excellent all year and he gets it right more often than not and if Keogh’s penalty was any indication maybe he wasn’t the man for the big occasion anyway

Well it’s not a bad problem for Poppa to have in any case!

It always hurts to lose a GF but it can’t take away what a brilliant season it’s been for the club. Winning the League easily playing great football and adding some new silverware to cabinet was great. The game itself was pretty forgettable, no real flow and hardly any chances created. Anyway another season in the can and hopefully with Fornaroli up top we can go one better next season

Of the 15 or so people who are involved in or support football that I know probably 2 or 3 of us get to Glory games regularly/semi regularly. It’s a problem we’ll probably always have in that less than half of the people who support football in this country attend matches, there’s just so many different tribes.

This A-League grand final bandwagon talk must stop

At the end of the 95 percent of the crowd will football supporters very few will be “event goers”, there is a massive amount of fans that support the code in this state…some may not come to every game, some might not have come since the NSL days and some may follow other leagues around the world but who really cares. They’ll be there Sunday and I’m sure we’ll win some new fans and more importantly win back some of those who’ve been disheartened by 15 years of mediocrity!

Sydney across the board I see… interesting. Stuart I’m glad you brought up the fact last weekend was the first time the Smurfs deadly 4 have started since round 12, you didn’t however mention that game was against Glory and Sydney lost 3-1. It promises to be an epic final in any case, could be a high scoring affair if both teams stars come to play and 60k packed in will make it that extra bit special.
I am going to back my Glory boys in to win it 3-2 and I also predict my fingers will be bloody stumps by the end of the game.
