Love your comment Julian. Especially mentioning Del Potro. If he was fit and healthy during the last decade, I really think the numbers of the big three would be dramatically different. I think Del Potro would’ve taken a few hardcourt slams, meaning possibly Nadal would be in the lead then…It’s so subjective, and so easy to stake claims for these players. It’s a great debate.

Why Novak Djokovic will be - and possibly already is - the GOAT

Nice point about Rafa. It’s very easy to make claims for all three, and that’s what I expect people to do. It’s a wonderful debate to have. Regarding Serena, no doubt. Interestingly, I had said ‘best male tennis player’ in the article when it was submitted, but that seems to have disappeared. No matter, Serena is in another stratosphere for the women.

Why Novak Djokovic will be - and possibly already is - the GOAT

All good points Davico. Love watching each of them, and tennis will be the loser when they all retire. Hopefully the next era will at least be competitive and exciting, but I don’t think we’ll see anything like this era for a while…

Why Novak Djokovic will be - and possibly already is - the GOAT

Agree. Interestingly, your Michael Jordan comment would garner some debate from LeBron fans. I’m no basketball expert so I’ll leave that alone!

Why Novak Djokovic will be - and possibly already is - the GOAT

It’s definitely a subjective topic, but at the end of all their careers, I feel as though Djokovic will be slightly ahead.

You’re spot on Sue. In fact, most people would be surprised to see how popular Nick is off the court.

Five unpopular takeaways from Wimbledon 2019

Absolutely. Wonderful story, I agree. That’s a topic for a different story.

Hence the article title. A polarising figure no doubt. But he pulls a crowd wherever he plays. And the media will report on his every match.

Five unpopular takeaways from Wimbledon 2019

Exactly right. As he said himself, needs to work harder. Hopefully he’ll find a coach he can work with.

The Aussie wash-up from Wimbledon

And that’s the conundrum with the tournament schedules. Do you put Nick on a big court because people like to watch him? Or because his ranking is down, and because of his on court behaviour at times, do you put him on a small outside court?

The Aussie wash-up from Wimbledon

Totally agree Simoc. Funny thing is, there’s millions of people in the world who just cruise through their job at half pace without wanting to go further. Kyrgios is simply doing that. Not sure why we should spend so much media time worrying about it.

Apparently Barty had an arm injury. The same one that was giving her trouble a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t so much ignoring the doubles, as focusing on the singles. John Peers is a fantastic doubles player, and I do think doubles is very underrated.

The Aussie wash-up from Wimbledon

Spot on Brainstrust. That’s exactly what this shows. It can be argued that the Big 3 are so much better than anyone else, but I feel as though some of these young guys should be regularly matching it with them by now. I’m worried for the state of men’s tennis in the coming years.

Which ATP 'Next Gen' player will have the best career?

Well, one out of four made it through. I think Popyrin has a reasonable draw, and could make a run

Looking forward to seeing the draw come out. He could make a run if he gets a favourable first match or two.

Aussie teenager Popyrin qualifies for Wimbledon

You’re absolutely right Darren. It is a blatant revenue raising idea really. I can see the pros and cons of it, and I would be ok with whatever the AFL decides – although I do think it will be brought it sooner rather than later.

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Fair call Knoxy. I’m happy enough with the status quo too. But I’m pretty sure the AFL will put it on the agenda again.

How about a 17 game season with a top 6, a 7-10 Wildcard Round, and a State of origin carnival mid year?

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Spot on Jest. The bye is a wonderful way to lose all momentum into a finals series. Then they play a Thurs/Fri night and Sat day and night match, leaving Sunday as a dead day, when there should be a 2pm packed house at the G, or Adelaide Oval/Perth.

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Couldn’t agree more about AFLX. A complete waste of time. While not 100% against a Wildcard Round, I’m definitely on the side of ‘leave it as it is, and get rid of the bye before finals’!

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Exactly right.

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Can’t argue with that Grints. I actually agree with you. I’m just thinking that if the scenario does play out, the AFL will be out there spruiking what a good opportunity a Wildcard Round would be.

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Draper’s only 17, so it’s probably a bit early for him. I haven’t seen him play, but for British tennis’ sake, I hope he can continue up the ranks.

Thanks very much Geelong Tiger. I’m not really for it myself, but when I thought about a couple of scenarios, I can definitely see why the AFL might like to introduce it.

Could the Dees and Tigers give the AFL's wildcard dreams a boost?

Thanks Barry. Always a great time of year for sport, and for me, Wimbledon is the number 1 event. We’ll keep an eye on these guys for the remaining qualifying matches.
