As a Crow fan I love it, as a realist I don’t. to be honest I would prefer to see Adelaide begin a steady, Port-like rise into the bottom half of the 8 and then into the top 4. The last time we jumped straight to the 4 we fell right out as well
North Melbourne are more than capable of making the top four
No result would surprise me, but at home Adelaide should just get over the line.
Round 1 AFL preview: Adelaide vs North Melbourne
With that list, Adelaide would have to tank. Angwin (who?), Luke Molan (who?), Fergus Watts (who?), Kane Lucas instead of Talia, Mcevoy over Dangerfield. There would have to be an additional system to help the clubs in the serious trouble Adelaide would be in.
The hypothetical AFL draft lottery: What could have been?
I tend to agree with Anthony, although their midfield is elite, they can’t win a flag with that alone. It is their key position forwards and backs that will cause the trouble, but Ross Lyon is a genius, so you can’t count them out
Ageing Dockers have one more shot at glory
It’s Tex time. 2015 is going to be a huge year for us.
Tex Walker named captain of the Adelaide Crows
What I mean by Walters been depth is that we have seen him go down with injury and the Dockers been able to manage with Ballentyne alone. If Ballantyne goes down, the dockers should be alright with Walters. That’s what depth is to me. Multiple good players in one area.
Ageing Dockers have one more shot at glory
agreed, they looked good under bomber – why fix something that isn’t broken
After all the uncertainty, Essendon's 2015 season looks uncertain
I didn’t even bother going into the possible suspensions because I seriously doubt anyone (ASADA, AFL etc.) would risk losing a big club. not going to happen
After all the uncertainty, Essendon's 2015 season looks uncertain
They may not still be great players, but the leadership and guidence they provide is important for the team. I can see your point, but their value goes further than on the park
After all the uncertainty, Essendon's 2015 season looks uncertain
I think their young list may see them drop off slightly
Collingwood to play waiting game in 2015
Caleb Daniel played as a small forward (very effectively) for South Adelaide and was a big reason for their sharp assent
The Western Bulldogs' forward thinking

Because he knows T20 is been ruined
The BBL shows it's time to scrap international T20s
Cheers (I’ll cop the Richardson comment though he only debuted for the national T20 side in in october 2014) I’d much rather watch cricketers that are truly top of the game, but because T20 is not respected, they are overseas playing in other national formats. 🙂
The BBL shows it's time to scrap international T20s
The issue with TV ratings is that all South Australians/Western Australians will watch the AFL on Fridays and Saturdays. This will boost the big victorian clubs (Collingwood, Essendon, Carlton among others) who dominate the timeslots. Whereas teams like Adelaide, who are very popular lose TV ratings because they cop a lot of twilight games, rarely broadcast to the bulk of Footy watchers.
The most popular football club in Australia (Part II)
You just made my point. If international T20 games are given enough respect to not be scheduled over other events then maybe we wouldn’t be having this discussion…

Ahh, isn’t michelangelo rucci a delight!!!
It's make or break for the Adelaide Crows in 2015
Fair enough point, I personally think that players like Bailey and Warner are key to the T20 if it is going to be respected in Australia
The BBL shows it's time to scrap international T20s
First of all it is just my opinion. Second of all I would argue that the IPL and various national T20 leagues hold more importance to the public in the nations you mentioned.

I certainly agree that if Adelaide had this season in 2-3 years time when players like Hartigan, Shaw and Laird would be more developed, the team would have been exponentially better and probably would have come 5th-6th
It's make or break for the Adelaide Crows in 2015
They certainly had their fair share of hardships and that is why I think that this year with a fresh start there are no excuses, they have to make it
It's make or break for the Adelaide Crows in 2015
I feel like the first few games are critical. In 2014 Adelaide had a very rough start against 3 top 5 would be’s, so it is vital that they win at least a 1 of the first 2 (North and Collingwood) I think that Adelaide are a confidence team and if they are able to get off to a good start they could be very good. Plenty of promise.

I agree, most accounts are that he is extremely intense. Hopefully Phil Walsh has an impact because if he doesn’t it may be another few years of no finals.

I thought a myth was something that a lot of people though but are wrong. I don’t think anyone thinks Hawthorn are ‘a lock’ to win the flag or that Port don’t have the manpower. Anyway this year is shaping to be the most competitive in a long time. I can concieve 13 teams making the 8 – Hawthorn, Sydney, Geelong, Port Adelaide, North Melbourne, Fremantle, Adelaide, Richmond, Gold Coast, Brisbane, West Coast. Collingwood and Essendon and the first 6 of those been top 4 contenders. It will certainly be an interesting year.
