You are 100% correct here. I literally don’t have a dog in this fight.

I’d watch too, assuming it gets broadcast in ‘Murrica. I continue to be pissed that ESPN didn’t work something out to broadcast the comp this year. I like all (most) pro comps, but Super is consistently the best spectacle in my opinion.
What should the domestic rugby landscape look like in Australia?
I’d love that drama. You think anyone in particular getting into lions not already in England squad?

Why Jim McKay is the best attack coach in Australian rugby
All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. //
Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak. //
If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected .

Why Jim McKay is the best attack coach in Australian rugby
Highly intriguing article NB. Many thanks. As for the blind side move, do a couple of the line out forwards just lurk a bit on that blind side while the play develops toward the open? I see 2 and 5 on the blind side in several of those images.

It would be entertaining for a perennial also-ran to try some thing out of the box like this. Surely out of the 150ish million red blooded American males we could dig up some drop goal prodigies. Nah, never mind. We will just give a bunch of visas to castoffs from other nations and stay in tier 2
The evolution of attack and defence
It’s hard not to love a pacey winger like him that also loves to make a big hit here and there but he’s made a few bad choices that somewhat balance out his upside. Hoping his savvy catches up to his skill
Trophies on agenda after Wilson's big year
Thanks for the article. I just fired up the streaming service to check the game and when I hit Resume I’d apparently watched the first 20some minutes and turned it off with Munster down a bunch and missed the apparently epic comeback.

Were Matera’s tweets discussing the nickname of his favorite local doctor? If not what is the point of this? I usually like your writing, so this is not an attack on you, personally. I also agree that there was a big overreaction to tweets from the players youthful years. But I didn’t think there was a dispute that the tweets were offensive.

Nice article. I somehow missed that Maloney fight. Will try to check it out
Australian boxing: A review of 2020
Same fellow that owns the Texas franchise was given dispensation to own a second team in the league. He comes up with cocktail drinks that incorporates his name which is… Something. He’s apparently a bit of a character but good fun by all accounts. I’m Just glad to have people investing in rugby over here

One of my friends (and a lady rugger) played in that league. God bless them all, what a spectacle.

I think this is right. I’m an outsider so obviously my opinion carries little weight, but in the US, The wealthy investors own one franchise each, not the league in whole. That way any change in the league has to be voted on by a group of people, rather than one corporate overlord. The best franchise owners see the ownership of the franchise is a prestigious thing, and try to nourish it and enhance it rather than strip it down for parts for maximum dollar. There are some “penny pincher” owners in all of the pro leagues here, but by and large having multiple owners seems to mitigate the worst instincts of the few. Amateur drafts, Revenue sharing, and spending floors and ceilings keep the cream of the crop from simply overwhelming the slightly less fortunate
