AFL is shown in 7mate in Sydney. A station which rates around 4%.
While the NRL is shown on Ch 9.
Why show AFL on 7mate in Sydney if it is so popular in Sydney.

This clearly shows there is massive delusions with AFLs following in Sydney.

Why the NRL can't compete with the AFL in Sydney

Nobody even noticed them when they made the grand final. Had only a few hundred fans turn up for their supporter day.

Why the NRL can't compete with the AFL in Sydney

You keep forgetting the Swans don’t rate in Sydney. Their matches are nearly always show on Ch 7mate instead of Ch 7.
Same with GWS.
If the Swans are as popular as you say. Why not just put their games on 7 instead of showing Better Homes and Gardens?

Why the NRL can't compete with the AFL in Sydney

Another AFL fan pretending he grew up liking rugby league.
Do you really think we are that silly?
If AFL is so popular in Sydney, why are nearly all AFL matches put on the low rating Ch 7mate instead of Ch 7 in Sydney?
Why was the AFL footy show played after midnight in Sydney?
Why does the Daily Telegraph often have 8 pages of NRL and only 2 pages of AFL at the back of the sports section?
Why do the top rating News & Sport Station 2GB only broadcast NRL games and no AFL matches?
Also the Swans are not the most popular team in NSW.
Technically NSW Blues are. They outrate the Swans and they get better crowds.
Maybe do some research next time Mark. Instead of just making up things.

Why the NRL can't compete with the AFL in Sydney

Haha Japan lol, your more of a goose than I thought. There is no AFL in Japan or any other country for that matter..
So where are these AFL test matches against Japan??
Common son. Come up with the goods.. Because I know you have nothing.

Australia plays England, PNG, NZ, Fiji, Samoa in Rugby League.

Who does Australia play in AFL??

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Ah clipper, still bitter and twisted and the success of the last Rugby League World Cup.
League is far from going backwards internationally and you know well this is true. International teams are more competitive against Australia than ever and we have 2 new professional clubs in Canada soon and more planned for the USA. Hardly going backwards.
Sure we are miles behind Union at an international level. But at the same time we are a million miles ahead of your AFL sport internationally. Which is still yet to get a following outside one small country.

Australian rugby has its problems, but Raelene Castle was not one of them

AFL is New Zealand, can I laugh in anyones face that is even thinking that would have a chance.

Kiwis laugh at AFL, exhibition matches for AFL fell so sharply there that they cancelled future matches there early with their tails between their legs.

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Rugby Union is broke in Australia and AFL rates so terribly in NSW and Qld the games are always shown on 7mate.
Time to do some research instead of making thing up fibs.
By the way when is AFL going to get first grade clubs in Canada, France England & New Zealand like Rugby League has done?
Umm yep… Never..

Toronto Wolfpack
Ottawa Aces

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Well considering Rugby League has 13 professional clubs outside Australia in 4 more countries to AFLs ZERO.
Puts things into perspective at the huge difference in international interest in between the 2 sports.

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Keep blabbing to make yourself feel better penster. AFL fails miserably at any international attempts. Your sport still has a following in only one small populated country and nowhere else.
And GWS average home crowds are down on previous years lol..

How’s that AFL international cup going with no tv coverage or spectators that Australia doesn’t compete in??

Rugby League kicks AFL out of the ballpark with global expansion. 2 new first grade teams in teams in Canada soon. Haha AFL still going nowhere.. :lau 😛 ghing:

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Hey clipper why can’t AFL get a Maori team? Oh that’s right. Islanders and Kiwis don’t care for AFL 😂

The importance of the Indigenous All Stars

Funny how clipper seems to show so much interest in UK Rugby League.
Hey clipper, where is the AFL in the UK??
Oh that’s right, nobody in the UK cares, follows or watches AFL do they. 😂

Wakefield coach banned from Folau comments

@Clipper Dead set you are a pelican.
So because some nobody in Melbourne who (follows AFL) does’nt think cheerleaders are relevant. Suddenly all the other football codes that like them should get rid of them?

The NFL who are the most professional football code in the world is using them more than ever. So how does that make them dated when the NFL is streaks ahead of any sporting code in Australia?

They have always been a big part of games with the Manly Sea Eagles and always will be. Just like they will always be a big part of the Roosters, Sharks, Panthers and many other NRL clubs.

Keep you political correctness to your own small minded bubble.

Excluding cheerleaders only removes women from the game

Haha your delusional bro. If AFL had that many teams in the U.S, they would at least be able to compete against Australia in matches.
#Fake AFL news.

The NRL can’t stand idle while the AFL takes America

How about RL teams in Canada and France too? AFL can’t even get a reserve grade team outside Australia 😂

The NRL can’t stand idle while the AFL takes America

28 first grade clubs in 5 countries is not a bad effort for Rugby League. What has AFL got outside Australia?

The NRL can’t stand idle while the AFL takes America

I think Rugby League is blowing AFL out of the water internationally to be honest.
The fact is, our sport has two top leagues working at growing the game in each hemisphere. Super League up North and NRL down South.
AFL is currently only really operating out of one country at a professional level.
The fact Rugby League has 28 first grade clubs in 5 countries to AFLs 18 first grade clubs in 1 country really puts things into perspective.
Then you have talk of new Rugby League teams planned for Serbia with Red Star. Ottawa Staggs in Canada as well as a team in New York.
Should Rugby League really be that worried with AFL playing a single game in America?

The NRL can’t stand idle while the AFL takes America

Well AFLs international efforts will be dead and gone. China fail, New Zealand fail.
Where next? India lol?

At least our sport is going professional in places like Canada with Toronto Wolfpack.

Where will the NRL be in ten years?

The Swans ratings are still terrible in Sydney though.
They are still showing nearly all their games on 7mate.

Where will the NRL be in ten years?

Haha your kidding Penster. Rugby League has 28 first grade clubs in 5 countries.
AFL can’t even grow outside Australia it is such a terrible game.

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

Well forgot about a team outside Australia. AFL just isn’t an internationally marketable sport.
Cancelations of exhibition matches in NZ and a constant embarrassment with low interest in China more than proves that.

Where should the 20th AFL team be based?

This is massive for Rugby League, AFL fans like Clipper never took Toronto Wolfpack or Rugby Leagues push in North America seriously.
Now he is commenting about how much they are paying for Sonny Bill when he bagged the plan from the beginning.
This is just the start, plans are on the way for a second team in Ottawa and another in New York.
Rugby League will always be a sport that Canadians and North Americans are more likely to appreciate than AFL.
Due to the similar structured plays and field dimensions to gridiron. This simply proves what we all knew already.
Things are already in place for junior systems over in Toronto too.

Sonny Bill Williams blessed by God to play rugby league in England, Canada and France

Excuses excuses clipper. Gridiron has successfully grown in Canada out of America.
While AFL has had zero success growing their sport anywhere outside Australia. Your sport is a joke internationally.

Clipper how does it feel knowing you talked down Toronto Wolfpack for years and now they are paying bigger contacts for players than AFL ever has?
Egg on your face bro. Rugby League, Rugby Union, Gridiron, Soccer are all smashing AFL with global growth.

And guess what mate, 2 more professional Rugby League clubs are planned for North America.
😂

'Rugby's LeBron James': Toronto confirm SBW signing

Well Canada has their own professional Gridiron competition too called the CFL just like America has with the NFL.
So technically Gridiron is played professionally in 2 countries bigger than Australia. AFL or Aussie Rules is only in Australia at that level.
AFL just isn’t an internationally marketable sport.
Time and time again this has been proven with AFL being an older sport than Rugby League but much smaller globally.

'Rugby's LeBron James': Toronto confirm SBW signing

I guess we’ll see in a few years if AFL can get a following in another country like Rugby League has hey Clipper.
Because AFL cancelled exhibition matches in NZ due to such low support from locals.
Looks like the same is happening in China with AFLs efforts too.
Maybe one day AFL can get support in more than one small country hey mate 😂
Where’s AFLs Canadian team? We have Toronto Wolfpack.
Where’s AFLs NZ team? We have the Auckland Warriors.
Where’s AFLs French team? We have Catalan Dragons.
Where AFLs UK team?
We have a whole professional competition there.
