Poor old Parra, obviously the only club inconvenienced by losing players to Origin, what a crock.

As a Cowbies fan I’m really pleased we’ve got 7 guys on rep’ duty, if the team performs poorly in their absence it’s down to our depth and systems, with any luck the mighty Parra trio will each play 80 minutes in a flogging and won’t be able to back up in the following week, give them something to be really salty about.

ANALYSIS: Rampant Warriors run riot in Parramatta as Origin-depleted Eels no match for Luke Metcalf

Without stating the obvious, we working class folk just wonder if we’re ready, and that, yaknow.

'Gorging on the game’s own meat': NRL and RLPA not reading the room as fans in the real world struggle to make ends meet

I can see a time in the future when SOO players will not be the best players of the NRL and I’m okay with that. If our Pacific Island cousins identify with their heritage more than where they’re born then that’s their prerogative, I’d much sooner be represented by a passionate Neville Nobody than someone getting an appearance fee. Personally I hope Origin is around on Wednesday night midyear forever.

The excitement is gone - State of Origin is a damp squib

As a Cowbies fan and not the type to pile on misery to others, in Tigers defence they were in the crosshairs for some serious retribution after putting 66 points on them a few weeks earlier, that probably explains why they did not let the pressure off, continuing to chase points right up to full time. For mine it showed faith in their system and a team united. On top of the three scalps on the trot after having their bottoms spanked the Tigers result was no surprise.

It’s now up to them how they turn it around and find their inner strength, as has been said, they’re pro’ footy players, start acting like it.

Waning cats and dogs: Tigers and Canterbury dish up woeful lack of professionalism in giving up the ghost

I hope the RLPA do negotiate some sort of an insurance fund to support both aspiring players who don’t quite make it as well as those who just need some help later in life. Maybe a once only cash payment.

Players launch all-out media boycott against NRL as CBA negotiations take dramatic twist

Succinct analysis and a damn fine read. Thankyou

The spirit of cricket was murdered in cold blood by sunburnt thugs - and the game might never recover

Cowbies are losing 7, yes we’ve got our 2nd bye, but it’s still an injury risk in what is essentially a waste of time game, apart from bragging rights.

Blues Origin III team: Fittler going down swinging the axe as besieged coach chops and changes in bid to save his skin

But the issue is that even, as you say, blind freddie knows that without a gameplan they’re cactus. Just look at the bench, Gutho, Drinkwater, Cook/Robson, they’re all interchageable cyborgs, Yeo can move if given space, but Saifiti is no replacement for Junior Paulo, and how long will any of these blokes get to play, 12 minutes seems to be ol’ fredsters attention span, sheet.

Blues Origin III team: Fittler going down swinging the axe as besieged coach chops and changes in bid to save his skin

Looking forward to having a new fierey redheaded Queenslander playing again, they usually give us a lot of fun.

Maroons Origin III team: Slater picks and sticks as Big Red finally gets a crack

It doesn’t matter who they pick, without a well understood plan they’ll continue to play like 13 individuals and not one team. That’s what gets up my nose the most about thinking new players will be the solution. It shifts the blame back onto the players and that’s pi55 weak from a pro’ like our freddie. ????

Maroons Origin III team: Slater picks and sticks as Big Red finally gets a crack

After looking at the opposition selections and finally stopped shaking my head, I can only say that the game is going to be carnage.

Maroons Origin III team: Slater picks and sticks as Big Red finally gets a crack

I’m really feeling for these sacrificial offerings brought in for a dead rubber, looking at that bench tells me Freddie really is clueless. Does he expect to play a game of touch footy and play at 100 mph.

Blues Origin III team: Fittler going down swinging the axe as besieged coach chops and changes in bid to save his skin

I think DCE’s year has been like turning the clock back, in fact he seems to me to be playing better than when he was younger, a renaissance man.

How does JWH get away with his filth? Every game he does something dangerous and yet he’s lauded as being a ‘hard man’ of the modern game. He’s a grub, he had 2 goes at ol’ mates eyes and no punishment. Contact with the head is a penalty remember.

ANALYSIS: Five-eighth or not, Schuster comes up with pivotal play as Sea Eagles fly home to claw past Roosters

Billy is going for a clean sweep. Whoever get selected in whatever position will excell.

Origin III predicted teams: Blues cop fresh hits on injury front, Slater coy over Maroons fullback options with Walsh out

I’d still like to know where the ability disappeared to in the first half of the year, not that I’m unhappy they’ve found their mojo, anyway, now they’ve figured out how to play well together they might just go far.

ANALYSIS: Third-biggest win of all time - Cowboys exact revenge on toothless Tigers as records tumble in smash-up

As a Cowbies fan I would advise being cautious with what you wish for with Drinkwater, he’s a bit of an open door defensively and you can guarantee those DCE bombs and the hordes of kick chasers will belt him mercilessly. He gets a bit of protection in club land, it would be carnage in Origin.

Selection Blues: Here’s a novel idea - a NSW team picked on current form instead of past reputation

Good Lord, what is Siebold putting in the Koolaid to instill that sort of loyalty and belief, I realise you only get what the market thinks you’re worth but Manly are going backwards again and they’ve only got DCE for another couple of years and then what.

As for the Raiders, it won’t be long until an 18 point lead and clocking off is going to turn into an absolute flogging. Good teams love that sort of challenge, chasing down and then laying on the points pain, risky business.

NRL News: Bellamy reacts to Blues coaching talk, Schuster's surprising twist in Sea Eagles signing, Wighton for Origin?

If Fittler had any heart or sense of integrity he would have resigned his position as coach and admitted that he hasn’t got the intellect for elite rugby league. Discussions about changing individual players or simple positional shifts takes the heat off the fact he is clueless tactically. The bloke’s got nothing. But the powerbrokers at NSWRL love him and the 9 mafia fully endorse him too,so lets go and rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic and throw some more quality talent under the bus.

The irony is that Queensland are a little bit vulnerable in game 3 with injuries and having already won the series, it’s a great chance for NSW to finally get their backs in order, but it won’t happen. Shameless.

Selection Blues: Here’s a novel idea - a NSW team picked on current form instead of past reputation

This game really is the deadest of dead rubbers. Dead man walking with the Coach. Dead men walking with a number of selectors favourites. Deadset running out of game plans from you know who.

Origin III predicted teams: Blues cop fresh hits on injury front, Slater coy over Maroons fullback options with Walsh out

Maybe he should have been strapped into the stocks in the town square and all the townsfolk can throw rotten fruit at him too. Missing out on a pretty big rep game is a large punishment.

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

I reckon the big discussion that needs to happen on the northern beaches is regarding Tommy turbo and his longevity or lack thereof. Is it possible to have casual employees in the NRL, you know just pay them for their hours worked, no penalty rates, sick pay or holidays, just day labour rates. It’s a damn shame to see a man of his ability be continually be struck down by injury but he’s almost unemployable, would any other club take a punt on him?

Schuster makes contract call as Seibold reshapes Sea Eagles roster with new signings

Hopefully a week or two off to consider his actions will help him in the long run. Kids these days seem to think everyone else are stupid and will believe their lame excuses. Sorry sonny boy cop your right whack and move on.

Judiciary hands down Walsh verdict over ref abuse - and it's not good news for Broncos and Maroons

Was thinking the same thing.

'Do you think he would want to come to the club after watching that?': Angry Walters on Hunt switch as Titans bounce Broncos

Can’t argue with that analysis. I’m concerned by the lack of attacking flair when the Cowbies get into the 20m zone. Relying on kicks to get behind the line tells me they ran out of plays. It’s not good enough to beat the good teams. They need to use the ball better. Looking forward to the next Bronco’s game.

ANALYSIS: Souths slip to fourth defeat in five as Drinkwater dominates - but where is the famous Bunnies attack?

You know this how?
Bronco’s aren’t going to be premiership challengers this year, even if Hunt plays out the rest of the season at 9. FFS if he was satisfied being a 9 he’d stay at the Dragons and help their young up and comers. Money would be better than what is being bandied about from those others who know.
