I like the look of the force better than the Tahs right now. :-/
With their existence on the line they may pull out a few more wins and do some damage in the Oz conference (I guess ultimately falling just short of the finals, as expected…).

SPIRO: The case of David Pocock and homophobia in rugby

Erg, listing team 15-1, then reserves 16-23 makes it really annoying to read.
Good on Force and Rebels for doing it properly (unless someone on this site has changed the order)

Spiro, did you see Scott Spedding’s reaction to being selected for the camp France (not even selected in the squad!)

He is an example of a proper convert, one who lives and breathes their new country.

O'Connor loving overseas rugby lessons

He got MOTM vs Argentina and Wales.
So you’re both wrong. 😛

Isn’t Paul Alo-Emile ineligible, after signing for le all pinks?

My 2015 Wallabies World Cup squad

He’s getting on a bit now and behind TK as first choice 13.
I think it’s time for him to move on, he is the type of player we can afford to lose.
If it was TK leaving we would be in more trouble.

Ashley-Cooper joins French team Bordeaux

I’m not a die hard Scott fan, I just tried to use his eulogy to get traction for my point. 😛

I’m not trying to shut down legitimate debate, my first impression of this was that it was more of the same, adding no value.

Getting to the point of the argument: the players leaked info to the media to get rid of McKenzie.
Yeah, probably.
I think player power has been strong in Aus Rugby for some time now, although it doesn’t usually end in good long term outcomes (see Brumbies until Jake White)

So why did they leak? It’s all speculation, and it isn’t helping.

Is Michael Cheika steering a leaky ship?

Scott: ‘Australian rugby is more divided than ever.’
Smithy: NSW media conspiracy, etc

Maybe I am reading too much into this article, focusing on the wrong thing…

Is Michael Cheika steering a leaky ship?

Maybe, but I think he is (or at least, was) good enough to play Super Rugby, maybe even for the Wallabies.
If he goes into fullback, we can move Izzy into the wing. Then we can have someone at the back who can kick. 🙂

Who would you add to your 2015 Super Rugby squad?

Isn’t this sort of article the reason why Scott Allen is leaving us?
Enough already, it’s been done to death.

Is Michael Cheika steering a leaky ship?

Is slowing the ball really going to help?
Wasn’t it a slow bouncer that got Hughes? (he was already through his shot when it hit him)
Would the umpire have gotten out of the way with a fraction of a second more time? probably not.

There is risk in life, there is risk in sport.
If you can reduce the risk without killing the fundamentals of the game, great. But making the ball softer or slower is a very dramatic step, that will make the game very different – look at how much difference just changing the colour of the ball has done.

A case for redesigning the cricket ball

I think once the QLD/NSW bickering dies down things will be better, maybe you will come back. 🙂
While I don’t always agree with your opinions (as you shouldn’t), I have liked your articles and analysis.

There are always going to be people who will go on and on about it (the schism), but with time they and their opinions will get less airplay and will fade into the background. The problem is they are too prevalent at the moment.
There are a lot of people who I used to respect on the Roar who I now can’t stand reading their posts, it’s just anti-NSW, with no real thought. I don’t remember it being this bad in the past (when it was anti-QLD or anti-Deans).

I’m one of those ‘anon’ people but it’s not so I can spew vitriol without repercussions, it just is what it is.
What I type is how I think, what I would say under a ‘named’ user name.
In reality an anon username isn’t that anonymous, there’s usually dots that can be joined to work out who is who.

FAREWELL ROAR: Bickering a symptom of troubled times

I would love him for the Tahs

Who would you add to your 2015 Super Rugby squad?

I think Fotu Auelua is a very good no 8, as long as he is fit.
Mogg should be persisted with, as he has the talent, and is much better than Coleman. With some work he could become ery good.
Actually, scrap that, I want Mark Gerrard, although I hear the Tahs are after him…

Who would you add to your 2015 Super Rugby squad?

moaman, I guess that’s the difference between the first and second test.
The attitudes have shifted dramatically, hopefully it is a change that will stay and cricket will be the better for it.
