Davey is destined to go down as the greatest bunny of all time and should hold the mantle for quite a while you’d reckon. His pride won’t let him walk away before that happens, but it’ll be severely dented once immortal bunny status sinks in. Probably just rewards.

That’s the thing.. Stokes dismantling the attack is turning the bowlers heads into mush. And as a consequence, they’re not able to bowl at the tail with any meaningful plan it seems. They are just too flustered.

By the end of this series, Broad will overtake McGrath’s / Athers bunny record easily. Only thing Warner seems to be in the team for is taking catches in the slips. That’s it.
With rain on the way, Oz have just got their noses in front, just. Another 150 by mid arvo tomorrow and it should be enough for the bowlers to have a good old crack at the pompous.

Exactly. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If the shoe was on the other foot, Stokes reckons they would have withdrawn the appeal, which begs the question as to why Bairstow attempts the very same thing when given the opportunity. Can’t have it both ways. The loser will always complain and say they would have done differently.

That was about as good as it gets really. Such epic sporting theatre, and a truly remarkable effort from captain Pat. Ably assisted by Gazza and Ussis heroics. Bazball may reap some runs for the pompys.. but I can’t see Smith and Labs returning such dismal numbers next time round. Good signs heading to Lords with that in mind.

History certainly suggests that the pomps have more than enough on the board. Probably about 40 too much with the grey skies looming on day 5. Too true jimmmy. Perennial bridesmaids when I was growing up. Not for lack of trying tho. Me uncle Stan used to reckon they were cursed!! But they came good. Great to see them proudly wearing the dolphin in the NRL.

Not exactly. From Charleville. But moved to SEQ as an anklebiter. Nan & Pop moved to Redcliffe and we spent most weekends there playing tip n run or footy in the park near Aloomba Ct. Fond memories. Pop used to take us down to dolphin oval in the late 70’s and 80’s. Nanna rarely came but she always tuned into the wireless and barracked rabidly. One very red eye they both had.

Exactly right Full Credit. Ciraldo certainly hasn’t invented the concept of a core leader group. If you don’t have a core group to which you can hand around the armband at times, it’s counterintuitive.

Absolutely. We’re still a month out from round 1. Much water to go under the bridge yet. And time enough for someone to earn their stripes. The only lead balloons would be slung from the media and the bleachers. These guys play footy.
