Should be a interesting arm wrestle first up I reckon. With plenty of pen kicks. Hopefully the WBs can keep it within a few so I can cash me a handy multi.
Please kick well QC!!

'Dark places': Why Eddie Jones and zen Quade have spooked the Boks

Davey is destined to go down as the greatest bunny of all time and should hold the mantle for quite a while you’d reckon. His pride won’t let him walk away before that happens, but it’ll be severely dented once immortal bunny status sinks in. Probably just rewards.

Turning a blind eye to Warner’s woes proving costly for Aussies - as McDonald sticks his head in sand yet again

That’s the thing.. Stokes dismantling the attack is turning the bowlers heads into mush. And as a consequence, they’re not able to bowl at the tail with any meaningful plan it seems. They are just too flustered.

SevenTEENth heaven: Warner Broad's bunny again as Smith, Marnus brain fades leave Ashes in Marsh's hands

Intriguing days cricket with serious seesawing momentum swings.
Stokes has lodged himself firmly in the heads of Oz bowlers… plans seem to go out the window when he’s at the crease. And Broad, well he practically lives in Warners head. By the end of this series, Broad will overtake McGrath’s / Athers bunny record easily. Only thing Warner seems to be in the team for is taking catches in the slips. That’s it.
With rain on the way, Oz have just got their noses in front, just. Another 150 by mid arvo tomorrow and it should be enough for the bowlers to have a good old crack at the pompous.

SevenTEENth heaven: Warner Broad's bunny again as Smith, Marnus brain fades leave Ashes in Marsh's hands

Exactly. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If the shoe was on the other foot, Stokes reckons they would have withdrawn the appeal, which begs the question as to why Bairstow attempts the very same thing when given the opportunity. Can’t have it both ways. The loser will always complain and say they would have done differently.
Move on.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

Gotta say it’s a real pleasure to watch the prince of grubs Luai getting buried, missing tackles, dropping balls and getting pantsed. So good.

Blues player ratings: Time for legend to call it quits, Luai no good without Cleary, why was Cam Murray barely used?

Should be the death knell for fred. Bill has it all over him, just listening to Bill talk it’s clearly evident.
Viva Le Toad!!

Origin II: Axe set to fall on Fittler after Slater’s Maroons commit Blue murder to win series as three players get sent off

That was about as good as it gets really. Such epic sporting theatre, and a truly remarkable effort from captain Pat. Ably assisted by Gazza and Ussis heroics. Bazball may reap some runs for the pompys.. but I can’t see Smith and Labs returning such dismal numbers next time round. Good signs heading to Lords with that in mind.

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC! Clutch Cummins sees Aussies home in Ashes instant CLASSIC

History certainly suggests that the pomps have more than enough on the board. Probably about 40 too much with the grey skies looming on day 5. Ussi needs to replicate his first knock if there’s any chance. Not sure the others have the mentality for it. If Scotty can stick around for 10 or so overs, that’ll also help the cause. The sell out crowd will not however.
Gripping listen ahead.

Over to you, Uzzy! Broad burst topples Labuschagne and Smith to leave Aussie run chase perilously poised

Dunno about nickelback.. Silverback perhaps

Albo you can slag off whatever you like mate.
Personally I love afl. It’s right up there among my favourite spectator sports.
But I also love soccer.. so I probably don’t belong here. 😂

Hagan’s Round 4 Talking Points: Suaalii switch no drama for NRL, Slater's ideal for Storm gig, Maroons' next coach is ready

Never really understood the slagging off of different footy codes. As a bit of sports nut I enjoy them all and support my various teams with the same tribal passion regardless.

Too true jimmmy. Perennial bridesmaids when I was growing up. Not for lack of trying tho. Me uncle Stan used to reckon they were cursed!! But they came good. Great to see them proudly wearing the dolphin in the NRL.

Not exactly. From Charleville. But moved to SEQ as an anklebiter. Nan & Pop moved to Redcliffe and we spent most weekends there playing tip n run or footy in the park near Aloomba Ct. Fond memories. Pop used to take us down to dolphin oval in the late 70’s and 80’s. Nanna rarely came but she always tuned into the wireless and barracked rabidly. One very red eye they both had.

A solid performance from the doggies. Needed that after last week. Should instill some confidence and further cohesion. Early days but promising signs. Doesn’t matter who’s in or out for either team. The game is played on the day.

Dream NRL start for Redcliffe. They’ll be causing plenty more headaches throughout the season for sure. Particularly if they stay healthy. Jeez I wish me Nan and Pop were still kickin. They’d be over the moon with Bennett’s troops.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke by all accounts. Salute Uzzy.

Uzzy fires shots at past coaches after ton puts Aussies in command: 'Didn't really get support from people around me'

Congrats ladies. Excellent performance. This team must surely be in the discussion for being one of world sports most dominant. Gotta be right up there.
Done us all proud.

Ash fires up as Aussies defend T20 World Cup crown with red-hot final victory over Proteas

Exactly right Full Credit. Ciraldo certainly hasn’t invented the concept of a core leader group. If you don’t have a core group to which you can hand around the armband at times, it’s counterintuitive.

Bulldogs' path to glory full of pitfalls - very rarely do NRL clubs actually buy a premiership-winning team

Exactly right Souv. It’s a bit of a non story really.. atleast a non-issue at this stage.

No Top Dog: Ciraldo names three captains and six-man leadership group in unique Bulldogs move

Absolutely. We’re still a month out from round 1. Much water to go under the bridge yet. And time enough for someone to earn their stripes. The only lead balloons would be slung from the media and the bleachers. These guys play footy.

As a fan, I certainly hope you’re right Matt. A calendar slam would be a fitting way to do it. The FO maybe the only stumbling block, other than fitness.

Nothing wrong with Ciraldo biding his time in choosing a captain. It’ll happen. Just needs time to judge who’s going to step up.

Brilliant. Well done Djoker. Deserved champ. Only 3 more majors to immortality.
