The Eagles should go alright this year. People forget Rioli is back from a 2 year absence and we got a couple of good kids in the draft . Together with the WCE legends we “hopefully ” will do okay

I disagree that Eagles are ok for ruckman. If anything happens to Nic nat we are in trouble. Williams has only played a handful of games in the ruck and Jamieson is untried. Edwards should learn his craft as a backman and Ozzie should stay forward. We need a ruckman
Who your club should sign in the supplemental selection period
forget trading Gov, Gaff or Darling, it wont happen. Our game style is over a year out of date and my concern is why didnt Simmo recognize this before the start of the season. A classic example of not learning by your mistakes was young Harry Edwards playing fullback against North Melb . He always tried to out mark his opponent instead of punching the ball and from memory he had 4 or 5 goals kicked on him. Question: why didnt the coaching staff tell him to stop trying to out mark and punch the ball ? losing 3 early picks for the Kelly trade killed us and it should never have happened, selling the farm to get Kelly was a bad gamble , which now its obvious it didnt work.
I agree with the players the Eagles have let go , now its time for restructure & a fast game plan. Legend Subi coach Schofield will be a massive help to the club and drafting Greg Clark or Jack Mayo from Subi would be a move in the right direction for youth
West Coast Eagles season review: West is not best
The draft will help . The Eagles had extensive injuries to pivotal players which didnt help but we will be back. I agree with the 5 players mentioned , all super stars

my mighty Eagles were disappointing in 2021 to say the least and i agree that simmo seemed unable to produce a competitive game plan or even a plan B when things started going wrong. I have heard that the game plan and rejuvenated list is priority for the club so maybe getting the legendary Schofield as mid / stoppage coach and Nights (mids) is a start in the right direction for the game plan, and some early draft picks for a change should help the kids spark some needed youth into the side. I agree that selling the farm to get Kelly has proven to be the wrong thing to do, however, its time to move forward quickly and stop looking back.

my beloved Eagles are in turmoil and it aint pretty. braving the crap winter weather on a Monday night only to see my team get beaten by the bottom side made me extremely angry and has hit home how badly we need restructuring , a new game plan and we need to send some big names who are under performing back to the seconds. The effort was insipid and hard to watch and thats not taking anything away from North Melbourne , they were very good and deserved the win.
Kennedy kicking into the man on the mark in the first quarter pretty much summed up the rest of the night. Bring in youth who were performing well and dump Darling, Ryan, Gov and crippa back to the seconds. Ryan’s effort over the past 3 games has been pathetic and almost a dont care attitude. Darling goes missing to much and to often and doesnt deserve an automatic call up. Its time right now to look to 2022 and start the team shuffle for recognized performances not just playing big name players . The Kelly deal hasn’t worked and not been involved in any early draft picks since 2017 has turned into a disaster for the club. Throw out the old out dated game plan that all clubs have worked out and start preparing now.

How great it will be to see the legends finally back for the Eagles, i cant wait. Sadly the kids who have held the fort for a while will need to step aside. The Edwards boys, Foley , Ah chee etc.. have been terrific. Mighty Eagles will win a thriller

Scott is a total hypocrite. its never his fault or the fault of his players when they lose its always some other reason and now he wants respect for selwood who has always done hits on the field and gotten away with it when a lot of other players got sidelined for the same act. his ump mates have probably had enough of covering for him all these years as well

I was disappointed with my team West Coast last week , very lack luster. I hope this week will be a better effort . It will be rainy in Perth on Saturday night too which makes teams a bit more even.

The Eagles will nurture Willie , care of duty etc… bring him back into the fold in Perth instead of languishing up north. Talented kid with great potential to be even better than 2018 , cant wait to have him back in the side for the mighty Eagles.
