Despite losing Nathan Lyon to a potentially series-ending calf injury, Australia were able to bounce England into submission to earn a 91-run first innings lead – the England batters helping the cause with some ghastly shots.

With Usman Khawaja on 58 and Australia 2/130, the visitors will be eyeing a sizeable lead given the hosts’ penchant for large chases. It will be up to the opener, Steve Smith and the middle order to officially put the Test beyond England’s reach.
