Ahoy roarers! I’m back to fatten up your wallets, hopefully, for the Spring Carnival, by previewing the quaddies at Randwick this Saturday, starting off with the early quaddie, with the legs being races two through to five.

Randwick early quaddie
Leg One – Schweppes Handicap (74) 1100m
Speed should come from 3 Noble Joey, who should hold the lead with 6 Italian Son also rolling forward to sit outside him. I have it narrowed down to three winning hopes, one of those being Noble Joey, alongside 2 Elemenohpee and 4 Badajoz. I’ll be shocked if the winner came outside that trio. 1 King’s Troop has the class but has been disappointing in recent times.

Suggestion: 2-3-4

Leg Two – The Mick “Crusher” Kerr Memorial Handicap (71) 2000m
3 Fat Chap led all the way to win at Kembla Grange on Monday and he has the speed to overcome the draw to lead here. 8 Circle Came sat handy last start at Canberra when winning while 6 Bon Equus, from a good draw with Bowman aboard, can roll forward and get a lovely sit off the speed.

I’ll be including Fat Chap, alongside 4 Most Exalted, 6 Bon Equus and 8 Circle Game. Taking on 5 More Than Fabulous. Dominant win last start, but he is hard to trust.

Suggestion: 3-4-6-8

Leg Three – TAB Highway Handicap (Class 2) 1400m
No real speed engaged, so I think 1 Attainment can roll forward from the outside gate and take it up, like he did last start when spanking his rivals at Canberra last start. He looks one of the hardest to beat, but I’ll also put in 6 Grand Rouge and 8 She’s Invincible.

Suggestion: 1-6-8

Leg Four – Myboycharlie @ Vinery Handicap (83) 1200m
No designated leader here, so I think 8 Burning Passion can roll forward while 2 Painte should take full advantage of the inside draw. Those two are leading contenders, alongside 1 Powerline, 3 Shadow Lord and 9 Cosmopol. Really tough race, but I am happy with this quintet.

Suggestion: 1-2-3-8-9

$50 investment= 27.77% of the dividend if successful

Randwick quaddie
Leg One- ATC Heritage Society sixth Year Anniversary Handicap (78) 2400m:

Looks to be good speed here through 1 Sapphire Of Patch, 4 Zatopaz and 6 Halfway To Heaven, along with the horse with no weight, 8 Lie Direct. Not sure about the toppie, but the other three are definite contenders, as is 2 Defrost My Heart and 3 Four Carat.

Suggestion: 2-3-4-6-8

Leg Two – Shoot Out Mile (92) 1600m
Would be very surprised if 5 Himalaya Dream led given he came off the speed to win last start and produce a sharp form reversal. 2 Farolitos was impressive in winning last start and is a threat, as is 3 Sebrina and 7 Magical Stance, who can sharply improve if ridden off speed.

Suggestion: 2-3-5-7

Leg Three – Tab.com.au Handicap (83) 1400m
3 Flamboyant Lass is on the back up from last Saturday and if Clipperton wants, he will get the lead on a platter. Her run last weekend was full of merit and she looks hard to beat. I’m also including the fav 1 Elle Lou, 7 Harlem Lady, 9 Lycia, 10 Extensible and 11 Zelda.

Suggestion: 1-3-7-9-10-11

Leg Four – Hyland Race Colours Handicap (78) 1000m
11 Quell is an absolute speed demon and should have the pace to carve over and lead. Cliff Bashford holds the key with 4 Ever So Natural and 5 Ocean Grand. If one gets a push over the other market wise, I’ll be on. 2 Encostanati, 3 Floral Insight and the very consistent 12 Arise Augustus.

Suggestion: 2-3-4-5-12

$50 investment= 8.33% of the dividend if successful
