It hasn’t been a good time for the A-league and FFA recently and it appears that it is about to get much worse.
Perth Glory owner Tony Sage, over on The World Game website, has launched an extraordinary attack on FFA CEO Ben Buckley claiming he mislead in his TV interview on Fox Sports on Tuesday night.
Sage’s comments come after Archie Fraser also launched a blistering attack on the management of the game and Melbourne Victory Chairman Geoff Lord weighed in to the debate by claiming: ”The FFA don’t have too many ideas, don’t come up with any innovations or plans.”
It appears the owners have had enough and Sage has said that he is willing to walk away if things don’t change, which would certainly mean the end of the Glory.
Tony Sage wants this meeting on October 8, the day before Australia play Paraguay.
As The World Game article states, expect fireworks.
