It’s a Friday night blockbuster clash between two undefeated teams to open Round 3, as Fremantle play host to Essendon at Subiaco Oval. We’ll have live scores and commentary from 8.40pm AEST.

Fremantle, going for back to back finals appearances for the first time in the club’s history, have gotten off to a flyer in 2013.

Their season opened with a blistering run in the premiership quarter to run down West Coast by 28 points in the local derby.

The Dockers continued on their winning ways as they returned home from a trip across the Nullabor with a 28-point win against the Western Bulldogs.

The Dockers are without giant ruckman Aaron Sandilands, but have plenty of winners around the ground.

Matthew Pavlich presents as a handy target up forward while Nathan Fyfe has been racking up plenty of possessions in the midfield.

Tendai Mzungu has been picking up plenty of the ball at both ends of the field, and looks a player on the rise.

The Dockers also welcome back niggly little Hayden Ballantyne this week as he returns from a one-week suspension.

Essendon have been a club under siege this season, as explosive allegations of illegal substance use continue to be raised.

But, with their backs to the wall, the Bombers have galvanised.

Starting with a hard-fought 35-point win against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in the opening round, the Bombers found themselves in the right place at the right time as they demolished the hapless Melbourne by 148 points in Round 2.

While much of the attention has been on Melbourne after that performance, and they were dreadful, the other side of the equation was that the Bombers were very impressive.

Jobe Watson has been at his Brownlow best, while Dyson Heppell has been a ball magnet.

Free agency signing Brendan Goddard has fitted seamlessly into the Bombers’ line-up, and Stewart Crameri has found plenty of goals so far this season.

So who will it be that takes the points and keeps their unbeaten run in 2013 intact?
