Shane Watson is invaluable in the Indian subcontinent region given the loads of experience he has had over the last six years.

Being known as Mr. Injured throughout his career, Shane made his first breakthrough when he became Man of the Series in the very first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.

It was after that time that we saw Shane Watson grow as cricketer to such a big level that he still became the face of the Australian team for two long years.

Now coming back to the ODI series between Australia and India, Shane Watson, who has now played five editions of the IPL in India along with three Test series and a few ODI series, is the most experienced player in these conditions.

He is even more experienced than Michael Clarke (who is not touring) especially when it comes to the shorter format of the game.

While we have already heard players talking in interviews about taking tips from Watson about how to cope with the subcontinental conditions, we also know that Watson himself is going to be the key if Australia is going to beat India in India.

Although Australian cricketers have an extremely hectic schedule, Shane is looking fresh and ready to lead the group by example, and to walk out there and make the impact which he always had in the shorter formats, especially in India.
