You might spend the rest of your life watching cricket and never see a stranger dismissal than this one.

On Saturday night in the Big Bash match between the Stars and the Renegades, Peter Nevill was run out – courtesy of Adam Zampa’s nose.

Bowling to Dwayne Bravo in the thirteenth over, Zampa was not exactly expecting the ball to be sent straight from Bravo into the bat of his teammate, Peter Nevill, only to then ricochet into Zampa’s face.

The ball struck Zampa in the nose and in a stroke of incredible luck, bounced off him directly into the stumps, knocking the bails off.

Nevill, who had already stepped past the crease when the ball was bowled, was given out, though he delayed his walk off to make sure Zampa was alright after the collision.

Luckily, Zampa escaped with nothing more serious than some bleeding and a suspected broken nose.
