Three meetings are set down for Tuesday, with race cards at Corowa, Quirindi and the Pakenham Synthetic. Here are my five plays across the afternoon.

Bet 1: Win – Corowa Race 2, number six: Wolfofpeterstreet
She’s only had one career win but I think she gets a great chance here to get win number two. She ran over 1000 metres at Wagga last time out and got a mile back in the run but worked home strongly late to just miss out. That was her first run in a few weeks, so she should improve – she just needs to hold up from gate one.

Bet 1: Win – Corowa Race 5, number one Fire Stoker
Think he’s a great bet here. He set a solid speed last time out on the Acton track at Canberra and for the most part he looked the winner, but he was overhauled late by Like A Shot, who won again last Friday to frank the form. He should get over from the wide draw and the stable-jock combo at the moment is lethal.

Bet 3: Win – Quirindi Race 5, number three: Keemon
David Atkins trains this promising galloper, which ran over this track and distance last time out, when he was a notable drifter in betting but got the dream sit off the pace. Though he was held up a touch, once he got clear he attacked the line and won well. It’s an open race, but he has the most upside and draws well again.

Bet 4: Win – Pakenham Race 4, number five: Consider It Done
I’m very wary of the Busuttin/Young horse, but on exposed form Consider It Done is the one. It just overdid first up at Canterbury when running third, and that form has been franked with Seasons winning. This one should roll to the front – $1.90 at the moment is a touch skinny. I’d want black figures before stepping in.

Bet 5: Each-way – Pakenham Race 7, number three: Robbo The Bold
Odds of $6 is very short. I’d want $8-plus before betting. He had a two-run prep on the Devonport Synthetic where he ran okay, but that track is a tricky one to go well on, so I’m happy to overlook those efforts. He goes really well here, and 2000 metres with Mott on looks an ideal set up for him to run well. I just think he’s well found early. Hopefully he eases.
