The Richmond Tigers and the GWS Giants have confirmed their final sides for the 2019 AFL Grand Final. There are no late changes for either side.

However, Channel Seven have noted Phil Davis’ body language is not entirely positive and are speculating he may still be withdrawn.

The Tigers will go into the grand final as named, with their only change from last week’s side that defeated Geelong to be the debut of Marlion Pickett.

Pickett gets his chance thanks to the unfortunate news that, having dislocated his shoulder last week, Jack Graham will be unable to play.

Graham, amazingly, came back on to the field to play out that match, but was never a serious chance to take his spot in the lineup this week.

Pickett, a 27-year-old mid-season draft pick-up from the South Fremantle Bulldogs in the WAFL, will become the first person in 67 years to make his AFL debut in the grand final.

There are no late changes for the Giants, will captain Phil Davis successfully bouncing back from an injury-riddled game on Saturday last week to take his place in the lineup.

Davis was hampered by a number of issues in GWS’ win over Collingwood, but managed to get through the game and has pulled up well enough to lead his side into the grand final.

Toby Greene will return from suspension and Lachie Whitfield will come back from a bout of appendicitis that saw him miss last week’s win.

Ian Hill and Lachie Keeffe have been omitted from the side on a last-in, first-out basis, after coming into last week’s team for Greene and Whitfield.
