There was the predictable – the Wallabies losing again to England – and the incredible – Ireland stunning the All Blacks again – in another memorable weekend of international rugby action. And that means there’s plenty to discuss and even more to dissect in this week’s edition of Coach’s Corner

If you’re new to these parts: every week, The Roar’s rugby expert, Nick Bishop, steps in to answer all your questions from the rugby world.

The Wallabies weren’t expected to storm Twickenham and end England’s recent stranglehold on this rivalry, but the manner of their 32-15 loss, despite being right in the game for much of it, has led to many disappointing reviews of the Australian performance.

Chief among them was former great David Campese, whose analysis of the match was damning for both the Wallabies… and the victors.

“I don’t know what they [the Wallabies] tried to do out there… but England were just as bad!” Campese said on Stan Sport after the game, leading to another former Wallaby in Justin Harrison ridiculing the spray. “He’s on another planet,” said Harrison.

Are you Team Harrison or Team Campese in this debate? Does the Wallabies’ injury-plagued lead-in to the match give them some excuses for the disjointed performance?

In the other matches, Japan were too strong for Portugal in a rip-roaring match, France smashed Georgia, Argentina bested Italy, and the Springboks returned to number one in the world rankings with a victory over Scotland. But the weekend was dominated by one result: Ireland’s stunning 29-20 victory over the All Blacks, to continue their impressive recent record against the powerhouse.

What impressed you most about the victory? And can the Wallabies take a leaf out of the Irish playbook to stand a chance in next year’s Bledisloe Cup?

We’re sure you’ve got plenty of questions for these and many other topics for Nick this Friday. So get asking in the comments below and, of course, check back in right here at The Roar to see the answers.
