yeah i do agree it seems like there are definitely some names floating around for future centres and i do pray that someone really puts their hand up before WC 2015. Also i’m starting to feel a resurgence is imminent for the Wallabies nonetheless and unfortunately same as the AB’s. But, our average player age was no more than 23 and even more youngsters are coming through now, by 2015 i’ll be bold and say the WOB’s will win the WC

Wallabies team for third Test

KPM i agree with a lot of the things you write even when other roarers don’t but there’s no way i’d have quade cooper there instead of Berrick Barnes. And Pat McCabe is bloody good. Agree re Horne though, useless. As soon as tapuai is back i’d have him in there but even Fainga’a. Everytime he’s come on he has made an impact. I do love your enthusiasm on islander players but Rapana and Seuteni haven’t even played for the Reds yet and Seuteni along with many others had a terrible time at the U20 World Championshiop.

Unfortunately i think Leali’ifano may have been forgotten in the scheme of things for now, but i could easily see him playing 10 or 12 for Australia one day.

Wallabies team for third Test

at the moment i still rate fainga’a above horne at outside and tapuai even higher. Depending on your flyhalf, id have two centre combos. Cooper, mccabe, tapuai or Barnes, JOC, Tapuai. I think barnes is definitely the better option atm so here’s my backline. Genia, Barnes, Tomane, JOC, Tapuai, Ioane, Beale. Bench: nic white, McCabe, Leali’ifano

Who makes the cut in Wallabies backline?

carney and pearce are still the form NSW halves of the NRL. I love wallace because he is a bronco but there’s no sense in chopping and changing, you wonder why you lose all the time….

State of Origin II preview: The four keys to the game

useless channel 9!!!! Mike ‘harris’ at scrumhalf and james ‘hooker’ on the bench for wales. My patience is at the end of its teather!!!! The un professionalism of the nrl coverage is slowly creeping in…

Australia vs Wales Test: Live scores, blog

i think he means three series in a row maybe?

How Greg Inglis became a Maroon

another fantastic article, CC.

David Gallop was the CEO we barely knew

i kno2 i was being optimistic but it was without kaino’s impact that allowed us to beat the AB’s last year. Hopefully for you Vito finally ascends into the aggresor role and hopefully for us he doesnt.

All Black squad of 30 contains a Weepu shocker

Wow. That backline. With an inexperienced forward pack this might be the year the wallabies can get it over them if they really muscle up (although we did last year temporarily, again with no Kaino). but i’m afraid with this new brigade of AB’s it could be very shortlived. It is really great to see the generation coming through on both sides of the tasman

no drew mitchell?

What if you were the 'Tahs king for a day?

shoulder charge while cleaning out? and richie straightening his leg? C’mon. I think they’re both as bad as each other it’s this stupid messiah treatment of the NZ public and media that has brought that has showed quade as the antagonist. I certainly do not condone the way quade hit richie when he was down. That’s a terrible example of sportsmanship for kids like me and rugby was not intended to be played that way. just praying to god Quade has taken this sorta sh*t out of his game

Can old bad Cooper become new good guy Quade?

Definitely Lucas at 10. But on another subject, I have a feeling going to the waratahs will be the worst decision Michael Hooper will ever make. Even as a massive Liam Gill fan, i hope his talents dont diminish when he joins the most disfunctional, underperforming super rugby team i can remember. Team culture at the brums is so much better and i feel the perils of the waratahs may bring him down too.

Harris in frame to wear Wallabies No.10

Tim Horan is a great mate of our family and despite knowing him since i was 12 so 4 years now, i still get shivers everytime i see him haha. But i think my mum gets more excited than all of us…..

Meeting your sports heroes is a dangerous game

Not too many downsides to this squad, obviously injuries have caused a lot of confusions. But i think McCalman in front of Vaea and Mowen doesn’t make much sense.

Rookie Cadeyrn Neville rockets into Wallaby squad

i’ve never agreed with this thought in the past but i think digby should be given another shot at 13 at this point in time anyway. There’s a lot of wingers around lately that could fill his spot and he is often drifting into midfield anyway for the reds, he’s really picked up his work rate and you can tell his keen to run. Everyone says he needs the space on the wing but i think he can still be very powerful in midfield. Maybe his passing will hinder this option and i think with McCabe as well it could get bogged down easy. But tell me would you rather McCabe + AAC, McCabe + Horne, or McCabe + Diggers? I’d take diggers. i think the backline Jameswm posted was awesome and i fully agree but right now this option is very possible.

Who will be the Wallabies' centres?

are you serious? have you not watched a kangaroos game over the last 5 years?

State of Origin I: key match-ups

I like that team a lot, Tomane definitely in consideration with Shipperley. Palu 8, higginbotham 6 for me and dennis to the bench, Hodgson i can see why people favour him but he has proven to be nothing at test level. Obviously the beale at 10 conundrum throws it all open and i think ashley-cooper hasnt got it anymore. Very versatile indeed and a very valuable player but i dont think he deserves a starting spot. Definitely on the bench though. Bernard Foley at 15? I think Cummins at 13, but unfortunately has been overlooked due the Force’s form. Strong runner and fast. But that opens up the opportunity for Andrew Smith who deserves on form. Ive never liked Rob Horne, even when he debuted for the wallabies when i was 13, you could he was way too skinny and didnt offer any impact at all, although he gotten bigger he still hasnt been dominant. Watch out for Tevita Kuridrani. The locks are a good inconvience because they are all performing well. Apart from that i think you’re spot on with the players you’ve got.

Will Cooper and Mitchell be back in time for Wallaby selection?

I agree, I’m a massive reds fan but he lacks aggression and mongrel.

What Hansen's first squad means for the Wallabies

Amen brother

NSW State of Origin 2012 team announced; expert reaction

What a joke. I’m a queenslander but im still very disappointed at rickys selections. Buhrer I am a fan of but no way in he’ll does he have the credentials for origin, the qld pack will destroy him. Hinchcliffe should be there instead as he an play back row and hooker. No reward in form for Brett Morris, hayne doesn’t deserve it and his up and down form over his whole career shouldnt give him a spot on reputation. It’s not 2009 anymore. Dumb leaving tariq sims out as well. If NSW haven’t noticed they’ve lacked impact the last SIX YEARS. J Morris, T-Rex and carney well deserved and needed. Jennings just unexplainable and watmough didnt deserve a place so thats good. After they get destroyed in Origin I, maybe they’ll have a rethink. But then again six years of rethinking hasnt changed anything

NSW State of Origin 2012 team announced; expert reaction

wow they do have a lot to choose from, i think ben creagh has been hard done by being in the 3rds, he is at leastr better than beau scott. I’ve seen a lot of watmough this year and he has just been crabbing across the defensive line way too much, might be good against a tired pack but if the queenslanders remain vigilant he will be ineffective. but as everyone NSWelshman says he is built for origin, Greg Bird to replace him if necessary. gallen wouldn’t play second row, if anything he would swap with G Stewart, gallen plays up the middle hard and straight.

Blues doomed by short sighted selections

don’t rate Higginbotham? i havent seen much of mowen this year but higginbotham has been on his game and hasn’t seagulling at all from what ive seen

You choose the Wallabies squad for upcoming Tests

agreed but that polynesian influence is definitely an x-factor at the brumbies at the moment
