It really looks like some of the Boks are struggling fitness wise… In both games the boys were sucking some deep breaths, hands on knees within the first 30…

Foster SURVIVES as NZR hails 'magnificent' win over Springboks and declares it's 'a new dawn'

I would love to know whether Robertson would actually have been willing to accept the position if it was offered to him today, 2 games into the RC, 1 year out from the ’23 RWC? Was it ever a realistic option?
For what its worth, I still believe the RC result will end up with All Blacks 1st, Springboks 2nd, Pumas 3rd and Wallabies 4th

Foster SURVIVES as NZR hails 'magnificent' win over Springboks and declares it's 'a new dawn'

I ended up turning down the audio while watching the Springbok game. The commentary brought back memories of Kafer and Kearns…

The Wrap: Coaches ride the rollercoaster as Rugby Championship gets turned on its head

I really like Eloff, I wonder when he will qualify to play for the Wallabies?

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

Director of rugby means you pretend to be in charge but are not held accountable and won’t get fired for poor results. It’s a result of rugby being run like a company, the CEO gets to throw other people under the bus and eventually walks off with a fat million $ handshake…

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

In the modern era, if one team is having a good day and the other a bad day, it can get ugly real quick. Wallabies need to keep building depth, it’s at least 1 positive from this tour and horrible run of injuries… Pumas really played well, can’t wait to see them tour…

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

I totally agree, I would rather new blood be brought in even if it costs the Wallabies in the short term. Just leave Beale alone please…

ANALYSIS: Rennie must take leap of faith in Campbell and Beale to solve Wallabies' worrying fullback puzzle

Wow, I had no idea re: Frizelle’s domestic violence issues!

All Blacks team: Mo'unga to start, young prop in line for debut, Frizell named at No.6 over Ioane

Very good side on paper, its going to be a close one I think. I’m expecting big games from Ardie, Whitelock and Frizell (who I thought was good last week and gave up 1 or 2 unlucky penalties).

All Blacks team: Mo'unga to start, young prop in line for debut, Frizell named at No.6 over Ioane

I totally agree re: the AB’s… I cannot help but think even though they are in poor form, they are always in the game. On Sunday, the only moment I allowed myself to relax, was when Willie crossed the line. The AB’s are always in the game and they most certainly will be in this coming weekend’s game, right till the very end…

The Thursday Two-up: Recalibrate, reset, or full steam ahead?

You only have to look at how many millions in $ CEO’s and order corporate figures receive when they agree to step down after running a company into the ground. Does not make sense…

NZ VIEW: 'Time to ring Razor', as 'confidence shattered' ABs are a wound 'festering with pus and infection'

Yeah totally agree with those comments on the haka, just did not seem to carry any intensity. I wonder if the lack of travel to the republic over past 3 years is showing its (psychological) effects now? One thing that has not changed: Springbok playing style always seems to be criticised by kiwi journalists…

ANALYSIS: Brutal Boks suffocate All Blacks despite early setback, exposing more problems for Foster to solve

Found Fosters post match interview on the sideline quite interesting. Bit of a window into what’s going on in his head. Sounded like he thought the match was unfairly refereed, I’m sure he will get into a bit of trouble for saying “best performance of the year”… I can see why they skipped the press conference post Ireland match…

…Super Rugby has been of concern, especially in Canberra… Boy, does Larkham have his work cut out for him, not sure the Canberra crowd is fixable! 😛

'We have to change the game': Larkham reveals RA's back room move to 'tweak' rugby, promises more exciting Brumbies

My prediction for 2022 RC is 1st All Blacks, 2nd Springboks, 3rd Pumas, 4th Wallabies. No idea how many wins or losses, just have a feeling All Blacks will redeem themselves and Wallabies will disappoint, with Springboks and Pumas with their usual hot and cold form in-between…

Wallabies' weakness ABs will expose, Foster facing rugby hell, and how the Boks will lift the trophy: TRC predictions

I vote for the 20 mins red, but only because half the red cards issued are incorrect or due to some backward TMO getting the call horribly wrong. If they could improve the referees (where is the next Nigel Owens?), fix the rules and how they get applied, I would be happy with a full red as before.

Cash hungry thinking vs. deep pocket fears: What's driving the north-south divide on 20 minute red cards

2 home games vs the Wallabies could potentially make for the perfect RC start for Argentina. Cheika could actually not have asked for better fixtures, in first 2 weeks at least, to build some momentum and belief (which is already up after beating Scotland) before going touring. I reckon both games will be close but unless Rennie pulls something magic out his hat, it will be 2 wins to Argentina. Not being cynical re: Australia, just basing it off the incoming tour results, dismal injury run for Australia and the home grown advantage for the Pumas…

Why the Wallabies should be taking Argentina very seriously

So true…
The majority of Wallabies did not receive ball “at speed” , they were either standing still when catching a pass or the pass was poor/ not in front of them and so the next ball carrier lost momentum or could not even get momentum in the first place. It does not matter how big the ball carrier is, if he doesn’t meet the tackle with speed and momentum, you wont get anywhere.

This has been the problem with the Wallabies for quite some time now and even with a Kiwi coach, still not fixed…

Wallabies' backrow punch was lacking vs England but is crucial for Argentina

Yeah that’s just a poor outcome for Fiji, but who cares, right?

Rugby News: Two All Blacks coaches axed, Tonga qualify for RWC, Boks bring back Cup winning veterans

I understand that coaches move around… Above comment is with next year’s WC I’m mind, as someone who loves Fijian rugby I am just feeling a bit gutted for them…

Rugby News: Two All Blacks coaches axed, Tonga qualify for RWC, Boks bring back Cup winning veterans

So now Fiji has to deal with not only poached players, but poached coaches too… Nice, what a great way to grow the game in the Pacific nations ????

Rugby News: Two All Blacks coaches axed, Tonga qualify for RWC, Boks bring back Cup winning veterans

As a Springbok supporter I have a feeling of dread in that the All Blacks are going to absolutely smash us and everyone else in the forthcoming RC… If Foster does indeed still have the backing of players (they are after all, the most important people to have in his corner when the starting whistle goes), if they still want to play for him, they will come at any opposition like never before… I cannot help but think the All Blacks will take the RC convincingly. I mentioned elsewhere that RWC winning teams often have poor years the year prior to the tournament, I still believe NZ falls into this category. It was surprising they lost so badly in the 3rd test to Ireland, but I honestly do not think things are as bad as the media, supporters and Justin Marshall (who I think needs to cool it and try be bit more reflective) make things out to be… If they still underperform in the RC, I still feel that they are real contenders for the RWC regardless…
One other thing… Robertson needs international coaching experience, he coached NZ U/20 more than 5 years ago, I cannot understand why he did not apply for an international role after that… Even if just as stepping stone to All Black coach… Does anyone know why he’s never gone overseas to coach another national team?

'I'm always under pressure:' Defiant Foster remains ABs coach, Cane call made, as squad named for TRC

Yeah totally agree, Ireland could take the WC next year for sure. If Sexton gets injured though… or another injury to key forward, someone like Van der Vlier… I reckon it cuts their chances by half… Then again maybe I have not watched enough European rugby to know their depth…

The Thursday Two-up: What we learned about RWC rivals , which team produced the biggest surprise

The All Black fans remind me of the Springbok fans: One poor result combined with few bad (maybe also out-of-position) selections and they are asking for the coach and captain’s heads… The AB’s were fantastic a week before, yes they did get off to a slow start. Credit should go to Ireland (especially Sexton) here and AB’s simply cannot win every single game. Yes it is unfortunate that the home record has now fallen, but in the professional era it is to be expected. I am a big fan of Robertson (coach) but it would be crazy to think of replacing Foster now and I doubt NZRU would do it. Its not uncommon for WC winners to have a inconsistent season before the WC year…

'You're a s--t Richie McCaw': Brutal sledge that sums up All Blacks' falling stocks as Kiwis slump to all-time low

I am not endorsing burning jerseys, I am simply trying to put it into perspective… People are trying to vent their frustrations… If you read any SA rugby site’s comments sections, you will note people are calling for complete boycotts of Springbok games and mass protests… Imagine your national team’s management taken over by a corrupt mafia that destroys the pride, respect and professionalism of something you have loved and supported since the day you were born. This is not only about rugby. Google crime stats in South Africa, 50 people killed per day, then come back and tell me to “Harden up…” You have no idea whats going on in South Africa and what people are dealing with on a daily basis… Ever had a gun pointed at your face?

WATCH: Is burning a jersey a step too far?
