Stillmissit, if you look at the response of the French fans in social media, there appears to be significant support for Folau. The world is not black and white, there are more than 50 shades of grey in people’s opinions on various subjects.

2020, Rugbyfan in east perth, and there are a lot worse things that what Izzy believes in happening and once again, some of the hysteria shows how incredibly salty they are. Take Keegan Hirst , a gay footballer in the SL, who has gone on social media, TV shows going on and on about Folau compared to the response of the fabulous MP Tim Wilson, who is also gay.

The criminal case was dismissed. They then had a civil settlement. First of all, rape is a very serious crime that deserves harsh punishment, but he was cleared by the criminal system and from this point on the waters are very muddied. She pushed for civil litigation, accepted the money and the question is was that what she wanted all along? I don’t know, you don’t know. Bryant’s apology (as seen in the link) does not indicate guilt. If anything, it worked in his favour.

Love him or hate him, you had to respect Kobe

I am not sure any of us knew what really happened as settlement was reached…

Love him or hate him, you had to respect Kobe

don’t think $ matters too much to izzy. he may have missed his 800k a year but the settlement from RA would buffer most of that 🙂

Mate, no point arguing with them. Just enjoy the saltiness. They said he would be crushed in court by RA, and when he received a nice pay cheque from RA, they say he would never be employed as a pro footballer. Everyone is just salty and bitter whilst he is playing pro foot ball in a beautiful part of France. I guess Izzy was right all along – there is a God and God has rewarded Izzy for his faithfulness.

Any actual evidence to back your broad sweeping statements, Moosey? How many died under the Christian sword? How many died under other religions?

“2. Time has spoken. BeIN haven’t issued so much as a tweet about it.”
Sprucey, be patient grasshopper. It’s only been a couple of days when his signing was announced.

“No religion is superior to another”. Just to clarify, Sprucey, what you are saying is Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, etc are equal in your eyes?

rafa getting called out – about time!

'You don't like good tennis': Rafael Nadal fumes at chair umpire after copping a time violation

I recalled the CEO of RA saying Folau will be sacked before the tribunal. That aside, like you, I think this is a good outcome for both the club and Folau. The outrage and the vindictiveness about his appointment just look petty to anyone with a sense of perspective about the world we live in.

I love your confidence, Moosey. I really do. All I can say is many detractors of Folau were wrong when they said he would lose his case to RA and that he would never get a job as a footballer again. Time will tell.

In that case, where is the perpetual outrage from you regarding wife bashers etc? Why is there still outrage when the matter has already been settled between Folau and RA? Why wouldn’t people just move on? Nobody goes on and on about the wife beaters and the criminals.

Israel Folau and the governing bodies who are powerless to govern

That was before Folau was recruited. Lets see what happens Moosey. Remember many Folau detractors on this forum was super confident Folau would never be a footballer again either….

“overwhelming” to describe an approximate 60:40 win might be pushing it a little 🙂 Some might argue it is a small majority. For example, from Cambridge English corpus : “A slight majority (59%) reported feeling at least some amount of empowerment under the present system of electoral democracy.”

What you are suggesting is it’s OK to slander Christianity because Folau has made this all about Christianity. Is it possible to refute Folau’s arguments whilst still being respectful of his religion, a religion that is shared by many on this planet?

Israel Folau and the governing bodies who are powerless to govern

I remembered many detractors of Folau saying he will be trampled by RA in court. He got a nice settlement and an apology. Cue outrage. Then they say he will never be employed as a footballer again. Now Izzy is playing pro rugby again, in Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales, a beautiful part of France. More outrage. He’s won. Face it fellas , and move on.

Just make sure you also alert the mods to the Christianophobic comments. They far outweigh the negative comments about Islam.

Moosey, interesting you should mention Bill Gates and religion. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he revealed that part of the inspiration for helping others is based on religious principles. https://relevantmagazine.com/current/bill-gates-discusses-god-church-charity-and-faith/

Unamimous, no point trying to introduce facts to TWAS. He ALWAYS ignores it and responds with an irrelevant statement when presented with evidence.

he is obsessed with Christians. Not the only one though on this forum.

“As soon as he has been out of sport for 5 minutes he signs a new contract in a different code under conditions that would have enabledhim to remain employed in the old one.” Jeznez, your statement is a misleading. He was sacked before they even went to the tribunal. There are also a couple of other key differentiators from how it went with RA. in the current employment, he has not been asked to apologize for what he has said. The French club says it disagrees with Folau’s’ “sincerely held beliefs” and ask him not to repeat that anymore during his current 1 year contract, to which he agrees. They essentially agree to disagree with both acknowledging the other, and he agrees to keep quiet during the rest of the contract but he remains “a proud christian”. The bottom line is RA SHOULD have negotiated such a contract with Folau, but they did not do so.

I agree with you BeIn don’t care a lot about RL, which is why they reportedly paid a small amount of money (70k euros) previously. It is possible that BeIn did not want to pay 70k euros because they don’t think it’s worth this pitiful amount of money, but more likely Elstone wanted more. It’s logical having Folau there will increase interest in the team and perhaps that might bring BeIn back to the negotiating table. Time will tell.

He is getting a lot of publicity in European news, Spruce Moose. If he was anonymous, he isn’t now.
