It was a club for all of sydney, Vinnie, if you didnt want to be involved, thats your issue. Football has roots east of Bankstown champ
Sydney FC fans are on the brink of desertion
Is that a joke? Week after week the Cove try to get the whole crowd involved and all anyone does is ignore them. Allianz is quiet enough as it is since we can only attract a third of the capacity but ‘supporters’ sitting quietly and chatting about their weekend plans dont exactly help.
Sydney FC fans are on the brink of desertion
4 points in 9 games, for a club in the biggest city in Australia, is not acceptable.
Sydney FC's darkest night
lets see what happens when youre at the bottom of the table
Which is the most important club?
Unfortunately, it looks as though sydney fans will be forever looking back at ADP’s time here and thinking ‘what if’. Had the club not been run into the ground by this joke of a board and management staff, his influence could have been bigger than we’d ever imagined. Unfortunately, thats not the case, so we have to look to the future. Touch wood that this new generation of Sky Blue youths can set the team into a new direction…
Sydney FC struggles all too familiar for Sky Blues fans
Based on recent evidence, Dortmund bring their youth products into regular first team contention at about 22-23. Players like Scheiber, Hoffmann and Durm are only now being considered for the first XI. Time is on Amini’s side

Neill to captain Socceroos, says he will 'prove' worthy
If I could just say something controversial…
I’ve always had a dislike for Lucas Neill but AP said everyone would be given a chance so you have to respect that. Those who are whining and moaning about how they think AP has somehow failed in his mission before a ball has been kicked should really think before they comment. I’m happy to be proven wrong, if Neill plays terribly again I’ll gladly withdraw my statement but until then, it’s not the end of the world.

Melbourne Heart vs Sydney FC: A-League live scores, blog
Sorry but chianese was absolutely turgid tonight. His first touch was as poor as ever, he ran mindlessly and the only reason he scored because behich’s positioning was shocking.

ACL remains foreign to Australian football fans
Dinoweb,
My point wasn’t to base our model on the American one. I was arguing (albeit in a convoluted way_ that we should embrace our take on football, as America did. You cant deny how successful its been for them in recent times.
Was unaware of those stats but they are quite impressive!
Why America's development is a blueprint for Australian football
You’ve misread the article entirely
“This is what Australia must do to progress as a football nation – Just be Australian”
Yep, that sure sounds like follow American youth development to me!
Why America's development is a blueprint for Australian football
I pointed out somewhere in the comments above that the a league is described as being highly physical, arguably a highly Australian trait. I take your point, regardless, because I suppose my comments were based on how the socceroos really haven’t played like Australians lately and that has to change – as per AP’s wishes. This will probably open another can of worms altogether.
Why America's development is a blueprint for Australian football
You make valid points but unfortunately the topic of funding is irrelevant as it was mentioned nowhere in this article, thus ending that discussion.
Further, you might want to look at the definition of “also” now and again, given I stated that the USA were ALSO producing decent home grown managers.
Why America's development is a blueprint for Australian football
Yep, sound like some pretty shoddy fans to me!
