It’s a huge shame that it’s taken for a player to pass away for an inquiry to happen. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that sports teams handle their environment differently say to corporate or a trade environment, but the lack of common sense at times is baffling. That being said, hopefully we never see a situation like this even remotely occur again.

Cummins hits a hard back of a length nowadays in white ball cricket which worked in India during the WC and I’d assume it’d do just as well in the Windies. Starc and Hazlewood both have good records in T20I games while Ellis is a great backup to have. As for Stoinis, he was handy on surprisingly slower wickets in the SAT20.

Nothing wrong with the squad that’s set to be chosen. McGurk would be exposed heavily on slower wickets in the Windies. Blind slogging on roads in this joke of an IPL season ain’t gonna get you far. Saliba is in the top 5 centre backs in the world for me. Look at how well he handled Haaland. I think he can handle Kane like he did last season.
For me, the key battle is Musiala v White. Keep him quiet and Bayern will not have as much of a threat up front as they would like
I think Arteta hasn’t had luck go his way
Olympiacos second leg – they get an extra half hr where away goals counted + Auba misses a sitter
Villarreal 2021 – losing to Emery in Europa is nothing to be ashamed about. That being said, losing Tierney during warmups in second leg hurt the thin squad + Auba unfortunately hits the crossbar which would’ve leveled things on aggregate
Sporting 2023 – the less said about that night, the better. Cost the Gunners the Premier with Saliba and Tomiyasu out for the rest of the season and forcing Arteta to play Rob Holding in a title race (sorry Rob, but your playing style never suited Artetaball)
I think having finally gotten some luck in Europe and winning a shootout, the sky is the limit for this playing group in Europe this season. That being said, I think EPL is still the main priority for Arteta and the playing group while they’re not quite the best team in Europe just yet.
