I am a huge fan of Cricket and Football (Soccer). I am a huge fan of Manchester United and I love my great state of Victoria in the cricket. I am a bit of a traditionalist and I love my Test cricket much more than my ODI and T20 cricket. If pushed the Stars are the team to go for. Happy reading!

Pity that Burns and Patterson arent on tour. Carey would be a better keeper than Handscomb, as he is prone to full swinging deliveries
What should Australia's XI look like in Leeds?
I suppose he might have just had a shocking shield season, I think he would have been back from the UAE and it would be a shock on the underprepared early season wickets, and then it might have continued on, so I am going to guess confidence, because from what I have seen and heard, his technique is one of the best going round the country, and he has a good head on his shoulders.
Labuschagne and Head give cause for optimism
Well it could have been 26.5, and not have factored in the poor series now
Australia must drop David Warner
Great article Ronan, could not agree more, such young talents are very exciting to see
Labuschagne and Head give cause for optimism
It got him some runs in the Test arena at home and overseas, and county form too, so hopefully he will score big this shield
Labuschagne and Head give cause for optimism
Hopefully they have more than Burns on that flight Gee, we need more batsman in reserve
Australia must drop David Warner
I do somewhat agree, but I think it also showed he was happy to not just block and do nothing.
Australia second Ashes Test player ratings: Smith and Cummins the standouts as top order flops
Definitely a dodgy catch and unlucky to come off short leg
Australia second Ashes Test player ratings: Smith and Cummins the standouts as top order flops
And young Marnus’ performance with the bat too, that partnership with Head was a sensible show of how to bat and he was very unlucky with the dismissal, coming of short leg and possible bouncing before Root.
Australia must drop David Warner
Peter Siddle was really furious when the second catch went down this match, he deserves to be, as he has been the most economical and certainly drawn the most nicks that have gone through the cordon or put down.
We all know Bancroft is Langer’s golden child, so any wiff of form and he is back in, while the likes of Burns, Harris, and to a lesser extent, Renshaw have been in good knick and have been overlooked
Australia must drop David Warner
Not doing a very good job talking about batting at the moment then
Australia must drop David Warner
Its best that they get rid of both of them, Warner needs a break to spend time in First Class and Bancroft is Langer’s boy who has never been great.
Burns and Renshaw have both shown some English County form in recent years, and Harris is a solid opener, possibly need to go back to those three soon
Australia must drop David Warner
Unfortunately not for us, but young Marnus has pretty much pushed one of the openers out you would think
Australia must drop David Warner
It would seem now after the unfortunate Smith news that Harris and Labuschagne will come in, though young Marnus is the incumbent
Australia must drop David Warner
I dare say they will drop Bancroft, bring in Harris whilst Labuschange comes in for the unfortunate SPD injury. Hopefully he, Head and Wade can manage to hold things together and hopefully Paine will be able to go big
Australia must drop David Warner
Overall, I was too scared to look first innings
But it was 34
2nd: 19
3rd: 65
4th 78
So, when the pitches are dryer in England he does a bit better
Australia must drop David Warner
If anything, they could arrange to have some form of tour going on in the background, say, get the remaining players and some more to play Ireland or Scotland, even have a joint team with the English
Australia must drop David Warner
Wow Pete! We are on the same page pretty much.
I was going to turf Bancroft first, but I thought Warner needed the break more. Then I did consider dropping both and moving Khawaja up, but I am not sold on Khawaja’s form just at the minute. I think bringing Neser was a poor choice when we were always going to need batsmen.
Australia must drop David Warner
The selectors are unafraid though. They dropped Patterson & Burns of the back of hundreds in tests, but conditions were very different.
Australia must drop David Warner
Wade scored a century last test and is currently the third top scorer in the series. That being said, there are some technical issues he has in England, but he has been one of the most prolific in the first class game last year
Australia must drop David Warner
Warner overall averages just over 30 in England, so he hasn’t been the most successful there
Australia must drop David Warner
Thanks Jeff, I think that the tank might be running a bit flat, so maybe it would be worthwhile sitting the tour game out for Warner and giving Harris a run. I did find it hard to come up with selection replacements, but hopefully he will come good again.
RE: Rory Burns, I think the editors might have changed my original message a little bit, but I would say I was trying to imply that he has probably been the one who has been the surprise package.
Great thoughts though!
Australia must drop David Warner
Great article, you raise some very fine points I have been talking about myself. The WTC is a money making machine for the ICC with importance placed on T20, especially the IPL. I would love for one day a big team like England and Australia to schedule a series against a team like Zimbabwe or Ireland during the IPL schedule, as they do not have many, if not any, IPL players
