Very funny.

The spirit of cricket was murdered in cold blood by sunburnt thugs - and the game might never recover

This article is exactly what is wrong in todays world of journalism & social media. You write something so rediculous just to get clicks. The media will do this to death because it’s so easy, easier than actually just letting it go & having to think about the game. Try analysing the game & talk about real issues. Nah, do this to death because I don’t have to think to get an article out. As a consumer I am short changed big time.

COMMENT: Cummins failed the moral test and tarnished these Ashes. He had the chance to be a legend and blew it

Agree. Him dropping those catches was not good to watch. That really showed he was past it.

UK View: 'He didn't look like a leader. He looked pathetic' - Cummins caned but Poms also skewer 'dozy' Bairstow

If the ball missed the stumps, and was not near a fielder, would Bairstow & Stokes taken a run? I think so.

UK View: 'He didn't look like a leader. He looked pathetic' - Cummins caned but Poms also skewer 'dozy' Bairstow

This uproar is rediculous. Supporters , media & players try to beet up these things for their own advantage, sell papers, cover up mistakes etc. On the real news Australia did very well to win this test, worst of conditions, lose a key bowler to injury, bad umpiring in 2nd innings. And then the batting of Stokes & the courage of Broad as well as Lyon.

If the same thing happened but Carey was up at the stumps, there wouldn’t be a word said. Just because he had to throw the ball. A batter can be stumped no matter what type of bowler.

'Worst thing I’ve ever seen in cricket': Broad, McCullum whinge about Bairstow drama but McDonald returns serve

Yes serious. Name one catch like this not paid. You’ve been out of circulation to long Exile.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

This has always been a catch, any team would claim it legitimately. It’s just now with replays & 3rd umpire the interpretation varies. I would think that very few players would think that was not out because Starc was not in control of his body. Nearly all wouldn’t know of that part of the rule.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

Starc….every cricketer would not know that rule or more that interpretation . I would suggest every cricketer in this match would be pi55ed if they took a catch like that & it wasn’t paid.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

Really, dive, catch the ball, turn my palms up, land on the back of my wrist, out for the next month or more with injury. Rowdy is right…..hilarious.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

Really? It’s a catch & not a catch using the same rule. No……for ever & a day that’s been a catch. Been watching a long time & never seen that decision before. The rule has not changed it’s just that some 3rd umpire has bought another interpretation into it now.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

Absolutely correct….it’s the message more than the runs.

Just googled it. I think you can still have a runner in test cricket but not 1 dayers.

Lyon likely out for series as Cricket Australia confirm 'significant' calf injury

Are you allowed a runner these days?

They should challenge for the top 4…..not sure for the GF. They seem to be missing a few more out and out guns, if it’s not Bont then they struggle.

The Bulldogs are in freefall - and only radical changes can save them

A Freo supporter so yes we do. But that doesn’t add to the 12 wins. I am reasonably happy because I have always said, we were way ahead of ourselves in 2022.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 16: Huzzah, the byes are done!

No matter how I do the ladder predictor…….Freo end with 12 wins. Not enough for 2024.

So not playing County cricket. Why with the squad then, he’s not in it.

Ashes Second Test Teams: Starc pushing for recall ahead of Boland or Hazlewood, England facing dilemmas in key areas

The talent should end up being spread across the 19 teams when Tassie comes in. Or should be I should say. The problem at the Eagles is the same as was at Freo with Lyon. H led onto aging players to long…….head in the sand. And then things just spiral out of control. I think Freo acted sooner than what the Eagles have so avoided getting this bad. Remember, even the Bombers with the doping scandal and their players suspend d, they were no where near as bad as the Eagles are.

Where is Bancroft now……dont see him in county cricket scores.

Just one example you’ve picked out. Many unfair advantages in AFL…….

Looking at individual stats, it was probably late 90’s, early 2000’s. Where do you find those team stats? Interested for looking at.

First Test Talking Points: Defiant Stokes declares he was right, Aussie duo stand tall, big-talking Poms pair left red faced

Well that blows me away. I have no stats to back me up, just that that team was very attacking, and was reported so at the time. I think it was the 90’s.

First Test Talking Points: Defiant Stokes declares he was right, Aussie duo stand tall, big-talking Poms pair left red faced

Not sure about that. England’s run rate was just ove 4.6 runs per over for both innings. The 90’s Aussies would do that often. A big difference is fielding decisions.

First Test Talking Points: Defiant Stokes declares he was right, Aussie duo stand tall, big-talking Poms pair left red faced

The Aussies played Bazball in the 90’s I think it was. The difference & the reason the Aussies won with this style, is that they were naturally attacking players. Gilchrist, M Waugh, Hayden all played naturally attacking cricket. The English are normal cricketers trying to be more attacking.
