what are you talking about AFL and South Africa??? South Africans and Kiwis want to beat Australians more than anyone, not get on our knees, beg to you and play your game bro!!!! NZ and South Africa already dominate you in a world game, compete against you at cricket yet you keep coming at us with this evangelistic type attitude trying to convert a nation that is already happy being world champions or near enough at rugby/cricket. Problem is that you VICs are brainwashed and will not be happy until you can arrogantly come to my country and push us around and the same goes with SA. Going into a poor part of South Africa and giving them food is honerable, but to then sign them up in ozkick and claim that the game is spreading is just down right insulting to South Africans.
Also, “Cricket in England is crying out for a major football code to share ovals with”??? What… 1stly, you guys are not a major football code..understand. get on a plane and fly anywhere in the world outside of OZ and you will discover that, 2ndly, has English cricket been placing adds for all major ovals shaped football codes to come and improve our pathetic cricket grounds???
Please note bro, your game will never succeed outside of OZ because your code is arrogant. Put it this way, when afrikaans are calling AFL people arrogant, you should worry. so then why didn’t Victoria create its own summer sport???? You all seem to adore the English sport of cricket in summer. You love the “international experience” of the boxing day test, yet you go on with all that garbage about Sydney/NZ being tied to England so it has followed the rugby codes. You are creating history to suite an outcome. If what you say is true about the Sydney/Melbourne “thing”, then the Vics would not of wanted a bar of cricket as it is as English as it comes…..

The only country i have seen cheer leaders in rugby is South Africa, seem to not be “used” elsewhere. Would be a little cold on the South Island for a them . shame

Australia and NZ have and will continue to enjoy a comfortable and respectfull relationship between both codes of rugby and football (soccer) plus cricket. This is because these sports interconnect with each other in many different countries and continents. where that leaves AFL I do not know or care, as long as its kept off the TV in NZ.

Feminie football will never grow beyond the Aussie shores because of its lack of physical contact and agression (look how feminine the Wallaby pack is and they are failures!!). Yet i believe AFL fans looks down upon football (soccer) for being soft!!! You guys don’t know if you coming or going. You see bro, everyone else is happy living in their skin!!!Its about time you guys were put into place. If you call rugby or league a thugs game, then you are insulting NZ!!!. Yet you want the Kiwi’s to welcome you with open arms!!!! You blokes are so insular that you forget that there is a big bad world out their that could eat that piss ant game up bro!!!! The AFL heavies bag a few league boys for throwing a few, what a joke!!! Most blokes who play league enjoy the physical element of the game. Most couldn’t box to save themselves. the basis of the game is to hit/smash your opponent as hard as you can in a tackle. Thats why they play it!!! Is there a suprise that occasionally a few of the boys go the knuckle!!!! Everyone associated with the game enjoys it, as long as they are not cheap shots. while we are here judging other sports, You want to know what Kiwis think about AFL, they think it embarressing for you guys that you stand in the middle before a bounce up or what ever it is called and stand there pushing each other and pushing your chests into each other. It looks as if you are about to have a fight but it doesn’t happen. That doesn’t happen in either code of rugby, and it doesn’thappen in football, you guys look as if you are neither here nor there.
I received this email a few times from Kiwi mates showing how arrogant our AFL friends are about rugby, even while trying to promote your game in NZ!!! Some Richmond bloke by the name of John Green wrote on the Kiwi AFL website about some Kiwi AFL converts that “The game was immensely physical, but didn’t allow roving gangs to bludgeon him into the ground as in rugby”. If the AFL try preaching that crap at any schools in the Kiwi kick programme on the Canterbury plains, they would run them out of town!!! You think you can grow or expand your game by insulting Kiwis and their love for rugby and league.

I absolutely loved last nights game. What a week, absolutely ace game of league last night and bledisloe this saturday. Brett white didn’t miss did he. It was a fair blue and white got him with a clean shot, but not a cheap shot. Big difference. These guys are tough men, forwards are the enforceres in what is the spectacle in the rugby league world. If 2 forwards want to go toe to toe, its OK, as long as its front on. White won the stink, short and sweet.
MC, what do you want bro. I have watched your game on TV and your boys stand their pushing each other for 5 minutes. I keep thinking, why don’t they just go the knuckle and then get on with the game. state of origin is a brutal game bro. thats why we love it.
