Huh? Creighton is bush league, he does nothing.

COMPLETE SRP Round 12 teams: Brumbies, Tahs make one change each, Reds have seven, Force Wallaby returns

He may as well, force are rubbish, why bother?

'Outclassed in every facet': Crusaders belt Western Force in reality check as set-piece dismantled

Did they say what the injury was?

Super Rugby Rd 11 teams: Wallabies bolter makes return, key All Blacks duo back from lengthy injuries

That’s probably why he has a 40% win percentage with the Reds. But don’t worry, how good is the team culture now!

Luke Jones? Any word yet? Was he signed to a 1 year deal?

Super Rugby Rd 11 teams: Wallabies bolter makes return, key All Blacks duo back from lengthy injuries

It’s a win but gawd that was awful to watch. Just a really mediocre game of rugby. McReight decent Super Rugby player but not international quality. Hooper well off the pace this year so who knows.

Pick me Eddie: McReight stakes Wallabies claim to lead Reds to crucial win over Force

He’s a better player and Fullback than Jock, why not put him where he’ll get more opportunity to get his hands on the ball. Will be exciting watching him run the ball back at full steam against the force.

COMPLETE SRP Round 10 teams: Petaia at 15, six Wallabies return for Tahs, Force old boy's comeback

Any news on Luke Jones? What a bust that’s turned into so far, their one big signing to replace LSL and he’s crocked…..real bad luck.

COMPLETE SRP Round 10 teams: Petaia at 15, six Wallabies return for Tahs, Force old boy's comeback

Came from an offside position, not attached to maul and went straight at ball carrier, about as blatant as you could possibly have. If he didn’t tackle the ball the try would have been scored. What’s the confusion?

'F--k, I was gassed! Force end Aussie SR drought against Kiwis as FIVE cards shown in Wild Western night

When did Tupou pick up his injury?
Unlucky for Reds they’re the only team who has to deal with injuries.
How did they do last year with most of those guys playing? How have they done since Thorn took over vs Kiwi teams?
Not buying it.
Other than being carried by Jordy, backline hasn’t looked any better. Backrow only part that has looked respectable.

ANALYSIS: The two biggest issues killing the Reds are linked - can Thorn fix them before he packs up his desk?

This is a brilliant analysis. Note it is not conditioning, it is talent. The Reds have one of the weakest forwards rosters in SR, the starting pack is pretty rubbish so the reserves are a long way off the pace. The issue is recruitment and development.
Somewhat Thorns failure in developing the youngsters coming through, but more so recruitment failure to replace all the starting players who have left. All teams lose players, some at higher rate than the Reds, the good teams have systems or plans in place to replace those players. Reds have fallen a long way short of this critical management of their team.

I’m no Thorn fan by a long way, the way he treated sins of the reds senior servants was horrendous and left a foul taste from the start. However we’ll never actually know if his coaching was any good because the team roster is dire. Red so we’re a one (very stout legged) truck pony. The recruitment of this team over the past few years has been non existent. Players leave from all teams, but the reds have been unable to replace any of the guys leaving.
Development has been poor also, name one player who has progressed under Thorn? Perhaps Flook, and he’s a average player having a good start to a Season ( not a genuine star like JP)

Thorn questions future after Reds unravel in Brumbies loss

Also Toole Cant tackle, like at all. Hell fast, but extremely limited.

SRP RD 7 talking points: Tate demotion the right call, Brumby who's 'braining it' and what now for Suli and JOC?

You think Flook will start over Ilkitau? You think McReight will be the wallaby starting 7? Wowsers, good luck with that dream.

COMPLETE SRP teams Round 7: Kellaway into centres for Rebels, Suli dropped by Thorn, Brumbies add firepower

There is something very much wrong with the Reds development and recruitment pathways. New guys just aren’t stepping up or filling gaps left by departures. Players stunted in there development, nothing looks cohesive.
To be fair, the idea of developing through local pathways is good in theory, but the execution and results have been absolutely abysmal. To look at the team on paper at the start of Thorns tenure to now is depressing…. 4 picked in the Wallaby camp and one of them is a joke, another, Flook, is a rank outsider to grab an actual Wallaby cap. McReight is back up 7 at best, only Petaia is a bonafide gun.

COMPLETE SRP teams Round 7: Kellaway into centres for Rebels, Suli dropped by Thorn, Brumbies add firepower

Agreed there is something very wrong with the Reds development and Recruitment system.

The big off season signing Luke Jones playing well so far…….
What happened to the next great backrower Conner Vest? Wasn’t he supposed to fill in the grunt work when ASY left?
JOC and Suli dropped for poor performance, Yet Isaac Henry gets another run?
Uru’s career been derailed trying to run him as a full time lock, get in back a row and let him run and express himself.
Josh Nasser looked decent last year, what’s the news there?
Hope Thorn has a big bucket, the water coming in fast now……. (He’s scraping the bucket with his selections so must be pretty decent sized)

COMPLETE SRP teams Round 7: Kellaway into centres for Rebels, Suli dropped by Thorn, Brumbies add firepower

He played 10 for the Wallabies, he was easily the best 10 in Australia last year.

Selected by the Wallabies, dropped by the Reds: Thorn set to axe Vunivalu in wild 24 hours

To be fair, I agree, I have never been a fan of Brad since he treated so many of the Reds senior players badly.

Selected by the Wallabies, dropped by the Reds: Thorn set to axe Vunivalu in wild 24 hours

Good call, why stop there, lets just swap everyone who is underperforming and put in some local clubbies. I know, lets just let some of the Broncos reserve grade players have a crack, isn’t that the theme currently anyway?

I don’t think swapping a proven quality player having a bad run with a player who has tried and failed badly is the way forward.

Anyway, Peni, Zander, Zongorr, Uru, Faessler, Henry all played worse, guess they’ll be swapped out too?

Selected by the Wallabies, dropped by the Reds: Thorn set to axe Vunivalu in wild 24 hours

I think Thorn would make a good DOR or similar and build a club, however he’s a poor coach atm, and his player recruitment and retention is appalling, assuming he has any control over that.
Lawson Creighton is a terrible 10, too slow, can’t kick.
Things will get ugly this weekend unless the plan is to bore the brumbies into submission.

Selected by the Wallabies, dropped by the Reds: Thorn set to axe Vunivalu in wild 24 hours

Recruitment has been poor, players have been poor, coach has been poor. There fixed it.
You’re right, sometimes it’s not the coach, but if the coach is failing, then what is your reason to keep him? Coaches are the most expendable signing on the team.

Crusaders too good for clumsy Reds as Petaia, Wright star to push Wallabies credentials

Petaia probably the form back in Australia right now in a terrible team. Has to be one of the first named
