Sporting NUT! Not scared to take his "bite" on the sporting world!

Agreed on exposure of the youngsters…..I actually think there is some good talent there.

But I reckon the 4 Quarters of yesterday going to hurt the core top end group….

Guys like Zorko, Neale & Dunkley had to do a lot of work last night.

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

Crows should be $1.20 after what has just occurred to the Lions.
Lions manage to win that- I have no doubt they make finals

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

Couple of stages in the 3rd we didn’t have anyone ready to go back on as Charlie Cameron, Bruce Reville and Jarrod Berry were all receiving treatment for different injuries. Talking about the walking wounded. I’d imagine this week the Lions will be spending a whole heap of time in the pools and on the massage benches.

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

What’s the most ACL’s one Club has done in a season? Asking for a friend….

That’s 4 of the gutsy points you will see in a while

I try and forget about the case we can’t hit the side of the barn door

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

I’ll bite on the Lions window being closed…..

Having a shizer season- Yes- But premiership window shut- NO WAY.

2 Ashcroft brothers and a couple very handy academy kids coming through next couple of seasons.
Only really Zorko & Lyons in retirement bracket- (Zorks is playing bloody well)

We just need to improve our game day coaching (time for coach change for me….)
And time to invest in a few kids playing in the 2’s instead of plugging holes with
workhorse / coach favourites Gardiner, Big O & Lester…..

A decent ruck in Free Agency wouldn’t hurt either.

If we miss the 8 this year. Not the end of the world, but i’m still not prepared to say we will.
I would like to hope the coach is smart enough to look at the Melbourne game again…..
We picked them apart with one very easier adjustment to our ball movement…. Lowering of our eyes…….

Six Points: Channel 7's commentary, the AFL's most underrated coach, and what on earth is wrong with a draw?

As McCluggage is a free agent, if he’s leaving there’s no trading of him…..
and considering the numbers that are being thrown around for him (if he leaves we getting the Maximum compensation available ) so we wait and see how that unfolds.

I wouldn’t be against the Trading of Big O, but not sure it nets us anything really useful.
I think he’s done extremely well to play as many games as he has, but i just don’t see him being a premiership ruckmen- an upgrade in the Ruck is needed.

As for this season- Coleman going down has had a huge impact on our playing group that has had very little media attention. Not only Coleman, we’ve probably had the toughest draw to start the season off. I don’t think it’s a complete right off yet- with so many games still to come at the Gabba we start collecting wins pretty quickly.

One thing Nothing to see here has raised that i think very pertent point is around the younger players only getting limited opportunities. Kai Lohmann a perfect example of this. Look at what he’s starting to do now that’s he’s getting continual opportunities.

I feel the playing of Gardiner forward is the biggest waste of time going around. Young bloke in Morris in the 2’s who we really should be giving games to. He’s hard in the contest (might even sharpen Hippy up- I disagree that he’s not up to AFL standard- when he cracks the contest he’s very good player)

Levi coming in next season, plus the other young gun academy midfielder also considering at top 5-10 pick will certainly put us in a spot that if we do miss finals next year will be primed to bounce back the following season.

I also probably agree with Nothing to See here also on the game day coaching aspect for Chris….
He’s need some tactical help- and can’t say I’ve seen that with our recent assistant appointments.

It is going to be a long road back for Brisbane this season so they should take advantage and make some big list changes

Carlton are definitely flying…..

Let’s see how the unsung heroes stand up when it counts in September

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

for someone who talks all the time about looking forward rather than looking back,
I’m rather confused as to why you haven’t moved past a game that happened near on a month ago…..

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

This new Carlton- they get it done- have some faith

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

What a horrible last round of tipping….

We scrap and move on
Dees (two spectrums of the competition- ordinary v much better)
Pies (little blip to start the season gone)
Lions (usually bounce back after a horrible performance)
Port (expect this to be close but home ground advantage gets it done)
Crows (just have to win)
Blues (comp favourites for mine)
Dogs (Freo have burnt all trust)
Suns (much better team at home)
Swans (will be too good for Hawks)

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

and now the trial by media torch is passed to Ross-

Enjoy the week Saints fans

Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why

Not sure what the Lions ever did to you Dem?

We get it- you don’t rate the Lions. AGAIN

The data says Brisbane are a flag contender - but the eye test tells a completely different story

hence my no-confidence- only picked them as it’s at the SCG

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 6: Can the Bulldogs bounce back after a week of scrutiny?

bad week of tipping last week – this week was even tougher to pick.
Saints (not because of the media week, but no Libba, No Jamara- bridge too far for mine)
Crows (taking last week as the prompt to get them moving)
Pies (MCG tipped for me)
Giants (Blues too many injuries. )
Lions (Gabba)
Freo (they are the better team- get it done)
Swans (no confidence- SCG )
Hawks (wanted to tip North, but couldn’t get there)

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 6: Can the Bulldogs bounce back after a week of scrutiny?

Can’t say I’m surprised he’s left the Heat, but not sure I would of been leaving Heat for Renegades.

BBL bombshell as Heat success story poached by Renegades

I don’t get the Bevo heat….yeah he’s a lunatic, but all Coaches are a bit aren’t they?

Year in year out they are pretty damn competitive… he’s got a premiership and runners up to his name….

Never had a top 4 side. Not sure what much more you can expect him to do?

And they haven’t missed finals for 20 years straight or anything….

But yes it’s very easy to blame the coach. It’s never the players continually under achieving- it’s always the coaches fault

Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results

I seem to remember a certain captain of a Club ironing a bloke out off the ball, getting a 3 match suspension only to magically get off on appeal….. one should not be throwing any conspiracy claims around…..

Just result. Lever very much played for the free kick in this case.
Very interesting stat also around the amount of players who have played over 200 games and how many of those have been suspended.

AFL News: Why Cameron escaped ban for dumping tackle, Blues star hit for six, Dees re-sign fan favourite

Brisbane next 5 no walk in the park either.
Cats, Giants, Suns, Adelaide (away), Tigers

Six Points: Why Dogs' disaster isn't all Bevo's fault, Eagles on their way, and 2024's biggest beat-up

another interesting round of footy… only 2 teams undefeated, with every chance none after next round.

Top 4 capable- Giants, Cats, Port, Carlton & Swans
Top 8 capable- Melbourne, Freo, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Bombers, Adelaide, Dogs,
Development year- Hawks, Eagles,
It’s a Long year- North & Tigers

Six Points: Why Dogs' disaster isn't all Bevo's fault, Eagles on their way, and 2024's biggest beat-up

“It will take us some weeks to know for sure whether that’s the case here; whether Fagan imbued his charges with the tactical tools to muster one glorious surge of energy that made them all but unbeatable against the Demons, or if this is something more lasting. You can find evidence for both if you look hard enough.”

Was very interesting to see some David King’s comments around the tactical nous of Coach Chris.
He certainly has his critics in this case (i often one of them and probably still have the premiership winning coach ability doubts)but I thought last night was a really good step for the Lions. So often not only against the Dees but other games the Lions Plan A is just bomb it long and in to the big guys.
Last night that was not the go to option- there was a lot more measured, lowering of the eyes and hitting targets leading up at the ball. I really think it show serious promise. I hope it’s something we stick with and not just revert back to banging in on top of Joe and Hippy head.

Footy Fix: Chris Fagan's finest hour? How the Lions gave the Dees - and Simon Goodwin - the mother of all baths

Was very cringe worthy watching at the time.

The way Noah Answerth hits when he tackles, really doesn’t need this stuff.
There was a number of occasions last night that my body jolted in my seating
watching young Noah hit a Dees player….

Much tougher than that guff towards Petty…. Don’t pardon the pun- VERY PETTY

AFL News: Cameron cops ban for dangerous tackle, Lion clipped over 'crying' taunt, latest horror Tiger blow

I think the Las Vegas splinter can well and truly be buried

Anyone think that performance of a team not on the same page ?

Footy Fix: Chris Fagan's finest hour? How the Lions gave the Dees - and Simon Goodwin - the mother of all baths

yeah they’ve come rather bland haven’t they.

Last year during gather round, I really enjoyed how they took the game on
and were very aggressive with their ball movement.

Whether sides have worked them out- but they don’t seem to have that same aggressive nature.

'Suffering from paralysis-by-analysis': Adelaide Crows have gone from box office sensation to under-performing turkeys

Good pick up- They are in the Trusted Field lol

Six Points: Clutch kings do it again, footy's dirtiest player, and debunking 'Vic-centric' fixture myth

Good round of footy- still trying to work how who you can trust who you can’t and those in the middle…

So far
Trust- Giants, Blues, Freo, Port
Still to decide- Cats, Dogs, Pies, Lions, Saints, Bombers & Adelaide
Improving but way to go- Suns, Tigers, Hawks
Thanks but season already done- Nth, West Coast
