Finally some respect for the West Australians.
John Inverarity and Co. deserve an apology
Could not agree more, went on way to long. What the selectors could have done, was squeeze another round of shield matches to prepare for South Africa.
BBL needs to nuke the two-week final series
I think at the end of the day, all the players just want to run around and blow out the cobwebs.
NAB Challenge takes leaf out of Big Bash
The GWS forward line is going to be interesting with the three forwards (Patton, Cameron and now Boyd). Lets hope one of these three are not dumped to the seconds because its two crowded. Or even worse, dumped down back when they could be a big key forward at another team.
Five young guns to watch out for this AFL season
Every single time the spinner debate happens, fans start talking about replacing Shane Warne.
Shane Warne CANNOT BE REPLACED.
As a country we need to stop trying to playing any wrist spinner because he we are reminiscing about Warnie.
He is a once in a lifetime cricketer, the last time we had decent wrist spinners was in 1945 when we had Bill O’Reilly and Clarrie Grimmett ripping through the Poms.
Nathan Lyons job is not always to take wickets. Johnson and Harris are the main wicket takers and he is there to tie up and end and occasionally bowl aggressive.
I wish James Muirhead as much luck as anyone else, but come on, they wont replace one of the leading spinners of 2013.
Muirhead already putting pressure on Lyon
I agree that Wade is not the best keeper in the country, but i can’t honestly see them changing it so close to the tournament. Paine is a very talented player but they seem to favour Wade. Klinger will unfortunately probably never play international cricket, a bit too old and is no longer setting the world on fire.
A squad to win Australia the Twenty20 World Cup
Kohli has been in some scintillating form of late. If he keeps producing he is going to break even more ODI records. Would like to see him score a few more test runs.
A squad to win Australia the Twenty20 World Cup
But O’keefe is a bowler. if he is being picked for batting we are in deep, deep trouble.
One year out, here's my 15-man squad for the World Cup
I agree Finch is way too inconsistent for my liking.
Im giving him two years max, before he is dropped.
Aaron Finch is the new Marcus North
Never saw Lillee bowl im assuming? (jokes)
Glad to see you put Imran Khan in their, his stats are unbelievable.
Who are the best cricketers you've seen?
I think S. Pollock is there because there are two many great seamers and he was good enough as an allrounder.
South Africa's ultimate post-WWII Test XI
Patto may take his time to get back in the national team as he has been injured. He has looked short of a gallop during the ODI series. But, he is the future fast bowler of this country.
Drop Peter Siddle for James Pattinson
You read into this too much. He was Man of the series because he was the difference when it counted. He scarred the crap out of them and they fell because of it. He completely destroyed the Eng batting order on multiple occasions.
Inverarity must fall on his sword
Who else do you select though? No-one has played any redball cricket, the schedule is useless. White and North are two old and have already had their time, we need some younger guys to come in. We have to pick players from white ball cricket form and past experiences
Inverarity must fall on his sword
Siddle is not really an ODI bowler anyway. His style is to continually plug away at a length, more suited to the longer game. He doesn’t have to slower balls or changes of pace to be effective as a McKay or a Faulkner.
Why aren’t Australia’s best bowlers playing ODIs?
Extremely unlucky or cracks under pressure?
Ranking Australia's prospective Test batsmen (Part I)
What about Shaun Marsh? I think the selectors may consider Marsh as he has been in reasonable touch and can bat anywhere in the order. Apart from the ones you mentioned, our stocks are a bit thin. Cameron White and Marcus North are two former players that have impressed. Maybe White will get a go.
Who should be the reserve batsman for the South African tour?
Good opportunity for Mitch Marsh to put his name back in the sectors minds. He could be a test 6 if he continues to improve and shows good results.

Fonz is also a great signing. Team should be hungry, plus has a good injection of youth.

England better brace for another Johnson onslaught
Im going to the game, should be a cracker. Although it will be 37+ degrees, both teams are going to die of heat…
England better brace for another Johnson onslaught
Get Doolan, he can play at first class level.
ASHES: Talking points from Brisbane day three
I hope they don’t drop Doolan and Marsh. Watson is on his way out.
